Ive been watching a long time as well, and think you are being a little harsh given that he was forced to play when injured by Gannon and had massive pressure from a group of fans every time he touched the ball.

Much worse were players like Bob Delgado, Rocastle, Lipa, and a dozen others who had the ability but sat back and refused to contribute their skills, and we have had some genuinely unskilled shocking players who I would rather not name as they tried their best, and you cant ask much more than that.

Id say Exodus would be pushed to make a top 20 place in Vale's worst of the last 50 years, now there is a back-handed compliment if ever there was one.

I never thought Lipa was that bad he was another imo that Vale fans just decided they didn't like(possibly because he didn't put a lot of effort in or was different(i.e. foreign)?) and unfortunately when that happens whether you have ability or not you will struggle to turn it around with Vale fans. Constantine is another example I still hear Vale fans today say 'oh he was a lazy good for nothing' yet he scored 38 goals in 85 games for us!? You honestly can't win with some of our dundahead supporters!

Exodus was without doubt the worst player Ive ever seen wear a Vale shirt.

 

And for those who were there at Accy that fateful day it was his own disgusting behaviour that wound up our fans. For a so called professional footballer to drop his shorts and show his backside says it all. Then he has the front to blame the fans and use the race card beggars belief.

 

A poor excuse for a footballer and a worse excuse of a man.

I took my Bolton supporting flatmate at the time to Accrington that afternoon.

Does anyone remember the multi-talented Jamie Guy from 2009, he was easily the worst player to wear a Vale shirt.

I think he scored a total of about 8 goals in 110-plus games as a stiker, sadly one was the winner for Dagenham at Vale Park, currently plays for Witham Town in the Isthmian League, 112 levels below L2.

In June 2007, Guy was forced to pay a £550 fine after pleading guilty to creating a disturbance in the Colchester town centre the previous month. He also received a twelve-month ban for drink driving in July 2008, and a £100 fine for "play" fighting with a friend in a car park.[46]

 

In September 2009, Guy plead guilty to threatening behaviour and was given a £350 fine, with £200 costs and compensation.[47] The charges came following a night out where he got into an argument with former girlfriend, Ellysha Stephens, and "spat in her face and pulled her around by her hair, causing a clump of her hair to come out".[47][48] He had a son with Stephens, born in April 2008.[47]

 

A month after his conviction for threatening behaviour, Guy was in trouble with the law again. He was in court answering a charge of racially-aggravated behaviour, following an alleged racist remark he made to an off-duty police officer in Hanley city centre.[49] He was found not guilty, after no evidence was offered by the CPS.[50] Judge Tonking stressed that Guy was "not guilty of this offence", but warned him that "Drink disinhibits all of us. When people have too much they do things they would not do when sober. Knowing what I do about your background, I am absolutely satisfied you are one of these people. You need to learn self-control."[50]
