What loan striker could we sign?

Nicky Ajose would be a good signing for us. Every time I have seen him play against us for other clubs in the past. He has been a big threat to our defense and he shows he can do explosive runs and frighten defenses and deliver a decent finish. I think we still need an experienced striker who knows the league inside out and scores goals for fun but I think it will be hard to find one. Lets keep the faith. Can't wait for next season to get started :).

Apparently Ajose is impressing Uwe Rosler a lot in preseason and he's being tipped to be given another go at Leeds this season.

 

I wouldn't mind a player like him. He's certainly better than what we've got at the club now in attacking options.

As much as I don't disagree with spunkers in that signing too many players from Crewe would be a bad thing my guess is Crewe will have a higher percentage of ex players knocking around in the lower leagues than most similar size clubs due to the fact they have a long standing(compared to most anyway) and very active academy.

Also with Vale being a near neighbour it could be argued we are bound to get a few of their ex-players(especially as Yates and Moore are natives of Stoke-on-Trent for example and Crewe are always likely to pick up a few lads through their academy who are from North Staffs area)

I was wondering how much he is likely to be used in the championship, if his opportunities are limited perhaps we could take him on loan. I like him as a player.

 

Perhaps not a popular choice with some fans who feel he turned his nose up at us but I think he has ability and I doubt hes on silly wages.

And me. 17 in 51 games, half of which were substitute appearances, certainly something to work on. Agree from a career perspective PNE was not the best of moves as his opportunities are likely to be limited, especially now they are in the Championship.

Darius Henderson has been released by Orient despite having two years left on his contract to pursue other opportunities. Worth a try at Vale? :).
