I don't particularly, didn't rate Trish Brookbank or Chris Shaw, undecided on Page and thought the retained list was ridiculous.

 

People earlier in the thread were blaming the chairman for the appointment, that was clearly wrong given Page's words.

 

I'm prepared to give them all a chance, people make mistakes and bad decisions in life (Glover made lots as a manager) but this is a different role and one the manager wants him to do and thinks he will be good at.

I was fortunate enough to play footy at a decent level to miss those days the glover I remember was a decent centre half playing under our best manager so I would say he knows his football and some of the abuse he gets is embarrassing and surely must be from the younger generation of vale fans

I agree......and I didn't have much for him in the first place! Particularly so having witnessed Glover regularly trotting down from the back of Lorne Street to have a word in Page's ear during home games last season - which we now know was obviously all being taken on board, seeing as he "respects his judgement" so much!
