We are together in fighting this, you will not change us

But I also admired the Muslim lady who said whilst she condemned the killings.."I am not Charlie..they should not have published the cartoons"..she is entitled to her say

I think she needed a slap freedom of speech is not just for Muslims

Did she say that?

The cartoonist has a right to draw it, she has a right to think he shouldn't. Neither has a right to kill each other for it. Or indeed slap her.

A bit of misogyny added to the collection of idiotic comments over the last 24 hours. Looks like we are going for the whole set.

Well said.

#JeSuisCharlie

Well, I was too but not any more. Charlie Hebdo can go and crawl back into a sewer.

I send sympathy to those involved with this terrible crime in Paris, but also too to the victims of the very same evil who died in the Russian plane bomb incident , which has not been given anything like the same sympathy and consideration outside Russia.

Horribly ironic that Charlie Hebdo chose to mock that mass murder with deeply offensive cartoons that are far worse than the ones they published about Islam, as they offend grieving real people, then this happens.

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/11/charlie-hebdo-plane-crash-cartoons-anger-russians-151109054925078.html

The first drawing showed a passenger's skull, with the caption: "The dangers of Russian low cost" flights.

The second showed the plane's debris falling on a bearded fighter, with the legend: "The Russian air force is intensifying its air strikes."

Their cartoons about the bomb on the Russian holiday plane are not a case of free speech, but were sick and outrageous and perhaps they will view them differently after this weekends tragedies.

Extremely tragic and poignant but it has to be said, Europe has to wake up 'cause if the "Islamification" of Europe continues it will happen in a town or city near you, history teaches it.

It is only a tiny percentage of muslims that are extremist and radical but a tiny percentage of 1.6billion people is a large number and this number of extemists simply cannot be dealt with by surveillance, intelligence and drone strikes. In most if not all countries where Islam is the main religion a tiny minority of religious cranks, despots and extremists rule the majority by religion, force and terror and not all these lunatics are members of Isis or Al Qaida by any stretch of the imagination.

Europe should stop the spread of Islam, their values are diametrically opposed, Islam is controlling, homophobic, treats women as second class citizens, permits polygamy and is intolerant of anything other than Islamists. Witness the brutality towards and the killing of Christians and the burning of churches even today in muslim dominated countries like Egypt, Iraq and even Turkey. Turkey joining the EU would be a huge mistake.

I cannot understand anyone who values freedom, democracy and the western way of life wanting anything other than an end to the spread of Islam in the western world.

Though it is a tiny percentage of Muslims who make up a tiny percentage of the population.

I agree though. I totally secular nation would be best. To think that we still have unelected religious clerics making laws in the uk.

The first, and one of the most important steps to making things better would be the ending of single-religion schools of any sort, and teaching children about all religions, not that the one their parents follow is right to the exclusion of all others. This is mainly the teaching in Christian schools, and children of Christian parents mostly make up their own minds, but a far lesser number of children of Muslim parents do. This also applies to other extreme religions like Orthodox Jews, and a few far-right Christian sects are guilty of it.

Stop children growing up brainwashed and perhaps it will help to stop these atrocities.

We cannot just say Muslims, there is more than one sect, often fighting each other. Just like Christians, there are many sects, even Christians have fought each other recently. There will always be fanatics in any religion, either their religions control them or the state does. Until there is world wide religious

tolerance there will always be problems. My main question is who is funding ISIS?
