Smurf disgusted with 'away only' Vale fans.

smurf knows as much about football as he does running a commercial business absolutely chuff

He amazes me that he still does it all by himself and now he will appoint a manager in page he can take on shopping trips for youth players. Smurf wants to run every aspect of port vale.

Same catering absolute garbage that runs out nothing for kids on offer

Bigger club shop still missing the same commercial opportunities as the run in to last christmas

No offers on ticket prices

No corporate offer

Tommys still the same

Smurf it's all about a " match day experience " these days. The football has been dire and the experience is worse

Have a look in the mirror you allegedly have pumped money in but you have no clue how to make it back or please the fans

Invest in a for sale sign you clown

Yes, please, Smurf - then break this clown's typing fingers with it!!!!!!

The major problem is money, we in this area aren't blessed with much of this and it costs a big percentage of the weekly budget to watch football especially both home and away and like many fans consider an away game is often a more attractive experience enjoying a day out with friends and often paying less to watch the actual game.

So are Stoke fans better paid / on more benefits than Vale fans?

It appears to me that Mr Smurf cannot seem to say anything constructive apart from outbursts knocking our own supporters, don't forget we are the people that put money into the club.also where does he get his information from,it's the supporters choice to go when and where they please it's there money not yours,We are not answerable to YOU!

I rather think "Mr Smurf" is knocking those fans who aren't putting money into the club?

He's bang on, however which way he chooses to express himself.

We could open the gates, let people in for free, win 10-0 and give everybody a goody bag on their way out and some people would still find something to moan about.

Vale fans need to learn that the fight is over, V2001 are a distant memory, and to date, Smurf has put his money where his considerably large pie hole is, so how about giving him a bit of backing?

Correct! Also, there's a lot of imbeciles on here who feel they have the right to level any kind of criticism at Smurf, including near-libellous statements about him, as a person; or come up with ludicrous conspiracy theories, such as the "MA nailed-on for Leyton Orient job...been a done deal for weeks (paraphrased)"...yet begrudge him the opportunity to express his own thoughts, particularly when these are levelled at some of the really nasty loons that expect to post their drivel, without any criticism!

i feel pretty sure that Smurf has more than enough business acumen than to follow your business strategy.

I cant think of any recent Vale home match (I didnt go the game where Marshall scored the stunner) i have been where the atmosphere, Standard of Football, catering facilities and half time entertainment (what halftime entertainment) has actually been good

Now we are being charged £20 plus for the privilege- and people who go away matches who make a day of it are being told to go and watch stoke.

Does thiat ***** take responsibility for anything??

To repeat my earlier interpretation: Norman's response was aimed at someone saying they prefer to watch Vale play at Crewe rather than at Vale Park ergo an individual response and not a general one.

My interpretation also.

Smurf is just frustrated because he would prefer to see those away only supporters at Vale Park, where their money would be banked by the club which would hopefully lead to better times. In this sense the "might as well go to Stoke" comment is correct, albeit crude, as either way Vale sees no gate money from these supporters.

As usual, Radio Stoke try to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Disappointed again with Matt Sandoz and his feeble attempts at sensationalism.

More enjoyable to watch Vale to lose more regularly?? ;)

Vale park isnt the most welcoming place in the world, the catering sucks, the atmosphere is often grim and cold, the staff seem to begrudge service and it almost feels like they are doing you a favour taking your cash for disturbing them... its no wonder some enjoy traveling to away grounds more than home games

They could let people in for free with the TV money they get. Gate receipts aren't their main source of income. Ours is. By a mile. It's a stupid comparison to make. If the fans want a bigger playing budget, we have to make more money to cover the costs.

Lidl don't charge Waitrose prices and to do so would be "stupid".

I shall get some tickets today for the MK Dons game at £10 a go. I wonder why MK have chosen the Vale game to run this offer? Even with the train fair, I would be in profit compared to a casual visit to Vale.

P.S. I do have a season ticket.
