That's why he only signed for one year last season, I understand his desire to mover closer to home, young family and all that

 

I think that's the only reason he will move and as people know he has never been my favourite player but he has had a good season and can play in a few positions and that might be hard to replace,i do however think Knott is the most important midfielder to get signed up.

Slight mis-understanding. Obviously he's been offered a contract but is it an offer he can't refuse? It is well documented that his missus wants to go south so are we offering something good enough to prevent that.

 

As an aside, Morsy was offered a contract last year but it was so bad that he moved down a division

No surprise at all. I've stated a couple of times that I reckon he might go to Gillingham as he's originally from Maidstone, plus he was obviously looking elsewhere (ie for a Southern club) last Summer as he was the last one to re-sign (after pre-season training had kicked in I seem to recall), and then only signed for 12 months rather than the 2 years that Vale offered.

Been a good player for the Vale, always gave 110% for the shirt.

 

We can defo get someone as good if not better as a replacment imo though.
