A good player for us but not a great player. If he does go it would be with my best wishes. You could never fault his effort to the cause. I'd rather be stays but of he goes, he goes.

 

Totally agree, one of my favourites and probably the most improved player from last season comparing 12/13 season to 13/14.

 

His goals and energy will be hard to replace but not impossible.

Loft is too good to go to them. I understand he wants to move back south but this is a step backwards. Good luck anyway lofty always have 110% not the best in terms of quality but a real good player.

Probably not a lot we can do about it, a job is a job, the location maybe a higher priority for the family.

His versatility is the key issue, though I do not particularly rate him in the centre of the midfield. As a left midfielder with JMW on the right, I think he is good enough for this league. I'd prefer him to stay, but he is certainly not irreplaceable. Best of luck to him if he does go, he certainly deserves a better send off than he got.

I dont think he was ever going to stay. I'd heard that it was his missus that wanted a move back down south rather than him.

 

If we sign Knott and Loft goes I'll be happy - I'll be even happier if they both sign though.

 

As for signing for Gills - he can do better than that surely, its a ground that I'll never go back to

I don't know. I think Birchalls definitely good enough. Whether he's fit enough is another matter.

 

It'll be difficult to find a player with the energy levels allied with the quality of Lofty, that's for sure.
