Embarrassment.

An away membership scheme is IMHO the answer.

All ST holders should automatically become away members. You then have a scheme open, at a small administrative cost, for anyone to join.

Any fan ejected or arrested at any game loses their membership and thus cannot attend away games. If so desired offences could be ranked in terms of seriousness and length of membership ban.

Not rocket science but the club desperately needs to do something to rid itself of this element.

I suggested this earlier in the thread. Newcastle operate a scheme like this - away tickets are sold to season ticket holders and members, they never go on general sale.

Oh yeah, that worked really well at Wigan last March, when the idiots trashed a local amateur football ground. I suppose it makes a change from boxing with Police horses.

Outside the ground hours before the kick off. Are you saying we shouldn't do anything then? What's your solution to the problem? And the horse puncher hadn't even been to the match!

My solution is not to go to away games anymore. The standard of treatment, entertainment and value means I won't miss it one bit.

I simply refuse to expose my young family to scenarios like yesterday.

In terms of a more proactive solution, then I think all clubs should be forced to offer family friendly seating for 'normal' away supporters, and let all the morons sit together, swearing, abusing and throwing beer over each other.

So all hooligans don't have season tickets??Don't make me laugh.

I completely agree with Jacko on this, as I pointed out earlier in the thread a membership scheme is the only way I can think currently to root out this cancer which is becoming ever more problematic and dangerous.

You miss the point I think a scheme like this offers. It will enable the club and authorities to track every single person that buys a ticket and if they behave like some did yesterday identify them, ban them and have appropriate legal action taken against them.

Sadly at the moment punishments aren't severe enough. Look at the idiot got a couple of weeks in prison, he should have been banned for life, not a few years.

We'll said, and yes My trip to Wycombe last season will not be remembered for the promotion part but the Pillocks that we at the front of the way stand and the fact that they broke a stewards leg. We as vale fans should not accept it and use other excuses to a big clear problem that a mindless few are introducing. I hope that people who see these pictures are ashamed of their actions, although I doubt that.
