No m8 he is part of a 3 who chase ,Harry ,and unsettle there back four ,there positions interchange ,the 3 in the midfield do the basics ,win the ball and get it forward ,Chilvers with his experience should push us up instead of us been scared .

Lines ,Jmw ,Tomlin ,Robertson Griff can all go sit on the bench ,we don't need a midfield we have never got the ball long enough .

So press them from there back our front.

Unsettle them get the ---- in them and who knows maybe once the games virtually won bring on the showmen !

Anythings worth a try too many of our players go hiding on the pitch and put extra workload on others .

In most games where I've seen Griff in he seems be doing everything ( sometimes good sometimes not so good ),yet lines is nowhere be seen ,watch the games.

Tomlin is good but on our heavy pitch it won't suit or jmw come think off it ,griff gives his all but is sadly way off the mark ,Robertson ,sorry m8 u ain't good enough 45 goals conceded we have ,try something different Adams !

What I was trying to say is that you have Duffy and Chilvers in the team...and they are injured and not even in the squad against Swindon.

Tomorrow is a tricky one. We have lost our last 3 games and conceded 3 goals in each game and judging from Saturday's debacle, the team togetherness and work ethic for each other on the pitch is started to be affected. It will be a cold February Tuesday night with a very heavy pitch and likely poor crowd with very few away fans to add atmosphere. However I expect us to rise above this and whoever plays to put in a shift for those of us who will be there to say sorry for the 2nd half surrender on Saturday.

Question is will my expectations be fulfilled?

Micky you say you have to find a solution for Tuesday, yes you are right, your first solution is the defence they were crap again, and your second solution is to drop Pope is goal on Saturday was a fluke the keeper saved it the wind took it over the line. Why do you keep playing Pope is beyond me and the goal scorers are sitting on the bench. I am losing faith in you Micky.

They are problems not solutions...

Well after saturdays very poor effort im going make a lot of changes.

Johnson

Yates Grimmer Duffy ( chilvers or davis )dicko

Birchall Loft Knott

hugill Williamson.Pope

Press them high up the pitch .

Dont let them settle hit them hard .

Might as well his Colchester the 3 points if we're picking that team. This is a serious question now are you a WUM? Your posts are getting sillier and sillier. Why drop Neal and lines clearly our best two players, pope can't play wide in a front 3 he would have to be the central point as would hugill so that wouldn't work. Birchall isn't good enough and we would just be completely overrun. Also did you pick 12 players?

It's a fact that many people find it difficult to attend midweek games, doesn't make them less of a Vale fan and they still ache for a Vale win. I will be surprised if the gate gets over about 4,400 against Colchester (who will bring about 100) and it could be nearer to 4,000.

If we should lose, I can imagine there will be posts that say we doomed and heading for a relegation fight. This will not be true, but what is true is that we are in a bit of a confidence crisis and I would gladly settle for a 1-0 win similar to the Oldham game to build the foundations for a more settled period.

I suspect the match may end in a draw though, remember when we used to draw games ?

Hmmm, over 8,000 for a midweek game against Shrewsbury not so long ago.
