Genuinely excited about tomorrow, although I am before every game at the moment we're looking so good!

 

It's a fantastic chance to progress in the F.A Cup and book a place in the 5th round for the first time in 17(?) years, so it's definitely a big day.

 

If Brighton send the first team, we could be in for a very difficult afternoon, but I just can't call this one.

 

We're on fire at the moment, but the defence is probably not everyone's first choice.

 

There's the Adams & Loft factor, there's Jack Grimmer, there's the fact we get about 1/4 of their gates, we're Northern, they're Southern, we're old-skool, they're new ground/new money. Will their Spaniards fancy it when Griff lets them know they're in Burslem?

 

I'm too nervous to make a prediction, by the way so I'm exempt.

 

So.....short answers, what's the prediction for the score?

I, too am optimistic about tomorrow and can see us nicking this one as there is a massive incentive to get us against a top Club and help the coffers for our continuing progress on and off the field.

 

I go for 2-1 to the Mighty Vale, don't care who scores or how, but just do it lads.

Anything more than a defeat will be a bonus. They are a good side with a lot of quality, hopefully the pitch and potential lack of enthusiasm to be playing in a less glamerous FA Cup tie will be a bit of a leveller.

I think Brighton made numerous changes for their previous tie against Reading. So i am not sure if their manager rates the FA cup and must be concentrating on the league?

Adams said in the Sentinel today that Taylor and Jones are still out. He's lied in the press and played supposedly injured players a couple of times, I wonder if he'll do it again to trip Brighton up.

 

Regardless, we shouldn't be rushing Jones back any time soon. Make sure he;s completely over this injury before he comes back this time.

 

Although I would like to see Taylor on the bench.

Brighton fans on camp are saying they are playing their development squad and a few of their first team players who need playing time. Said their manager has done it in this cup.

 

As the Vale players have been given the underdog title, hopefully they will come out firing and show the press, they are not underdogs at all and can easily compete at their level. Then to get a high profile club in the 5th round.

 

Sure Smurf will want a replay to get the extra money and then go through at their ground.

 

Getting nervous already and cant wait for 1500hrs. Come on Vale.
