If he thinks he's too expensive then what will it cost to maintain this league status when we have to totally rebuild, alongside potential drops in ST sales etc?

This looks to me like one of two scenarios. 1. Norman is going to sell the club so is not bothered about the contract. 2. Norman is a bit jealous of Micky because fans shout his name and not Smurf's. This was a bit of an issue with Rudgie and Billy Bell. Probably rubbish but there has to be some explanation for not making an effort to keep a key asset in your organisation.

I am sorry but I disagree. We should pay him what we can afford! If we are serious about building a club on a stable financial footing then we have to cut our cloth accordingly and not blow a massive sum on the manager. I know he is the best manager we have had for some time but would I want a MA here with a crap budget because he his on a massive wedge? No.

Agreed yes we should pay what can be afforded.But he would need to see what that pay was via his contract before he could sign it.

See now that I agree with. A lower salary with bonuses based maybe on wins, position, increasing attendances.

It could also depend on what budget he is given.Not much good signing such a contract if the budget is next to nothing.

From several of Micky's comments recently you would not think so. Saying that though they don't have to be mates just need to be professional enough in their roles do so whats best for the club.

Why would Adams not like Smurf? He's one of L1's highest paid managers, he's been given a decent playing budget and even been allowed to further strengthen with quality loanees such as Grimmer, Knott and Culvelier.

It was well documented that niether were Bell & Rudge and look where that got us. I still think there is more to this than meets the eye, 6 of one 1/2 doz of the the other. All I hope for is all ends well, they agree to agree MA puts pen to paper and we move on.

PVP agree entirely. Micky is very adept at manipulating things in his favour. Bratt said at the time he offered human open cheque book salary to get him to come back.

 

Seems I am the only one who was peed off at Adams spending so much of his time and thought acknowledging their fans rather than concentrating on the fact we were losing the match.
