This is another massive game for us. Even though they are bottom, their form over the last eight games puts them just one point behind us and I don't think they're going to lie down and die. Games in hand over their rivals or not, they are going to scrap for everything. Anything can happen if we're complacent enough to think it's three points on a plate.

 

I am sure Mickey will have the players well prepared and his team selection will be critical. I hope he keeps it the same as we started on Friday (injuries permitting) as we simply dominated the midfield, something we've not always done this season. That will be the key as I'm sure they'll pack the centre of the pitch. One of the best things about Friday was the early goal. The confidence just drained out of Burton when they realised what they were up against and then it was downhill all the way. Let's hope for a goal in the first 20 minutes and see if they can attack us then.

Reading Smurf's comments this morning sends yet another tingle down my spine. What have we Vale fans done to deserve such brilliant new owners? If he can't get all the floaters to believe in us then no one can. Wake up Stoke on Trent and outlying areas! Vale are on the charge and you would be mad not to want to be a part of it. Get to Vale Park tonight and send the lads a message that we ALL want them to succeed.

Just reading hughesy's bit in the senile brought a smile to my face the bit about him and tommo and the pennos is class

 

And whatever you think of him personally I think he has handled himself very well while here you can see why he was such a hero at his past clubs

In the sponsors box tonight. It is sometimes a bit quiet in there, although as OVF are the main Sponsors it should be a lot more lively;) I hope the atmosphere on that side of the ground is as good as Friday as I too feel a little tense about tonight's game and I really don't know why.
