After a MA preseason Hughesy will be fitter than he has been for years. He can get 15-20 goals in league 1 for us next year. Him Pope Willo and a quality addition will be a good strike force IF we go up.

The optimisn of some fans astounds me! Settle for 2-2 at home against a team bottom of the league & who have scored less than half the number of goals that Vale have.

Micky's comments about them are just stating facts, maybe it will motivate them, maybe not? 46 games(or 40 odd as we've played currently don't lie). Aldershot may yet stay up but they are bottom because their first 40 games haven't been good enough.

 

 

Having said all that no game is easy unless you make it, if Vale play to their best we should win the game although Aldershot will undoubtedly make it difficult. The first goal is largely key, get that and early enough and I reckon it will be a good win!

 

But we are not necessarily playing the team that put them there, a change of manager can make a lot of difference, as with Bristol Rovers, but we should be able to cope.
