Anyone who simplistically sees UKIP as a racist party is extremely naive

 

Like all parties it has its share of racist members and supporters (more than some, less than some) but it is not a racist party and the vast majority of its supporters are far from racist.

Perhaps becasue the Rotherham case highlighted issues being swept under the carpet by politicians cos they feared being accused of being racist??? Not because of who the perps and victims were????

There is a strong argument that the leaders in Rotherham were being racist as they assumed that if they didn't sweep this under the carpet that the Asian community would be up in arms over it claiming racism and that the non Asian community would respond by attacking Asians, burning mosques etc.

 

The leaders in Rotherham are a disgrace on so many levels, they should go and criminal investigations into their behaviour should follow

if celebs can be brought to book for alleged offences that were committed years ago then so can those who allowed the abuse of over 1100 girls to happen whilst they were in charge.

It's probably 'cause Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese in Rotherham and the UK in general are very much a minority compared to Asians from the Indian subcontinent. I wish the Police and Authorities would be much more specific whatever the color or creed.

Because it's more accurate communication and as in the case of davisatpreston's post Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese people do not get mistakenly included. As long as the communication is not derogatory there ought be no issue.

It's been highlighted many times that the men involved are mainly of South Pakistani origins

 

If I were a Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai etc my fury would be aimed squarely at the scum committing these crimes and those who let them get away with it; me being upset cos of the use of the term Asian would come a very very distant third

Personally I think the sytematic abuse of young girls is the real problem

If it isn't highlighted that the crims seem to come from a particular group (ethnic/religious/cultural etc) then it won't be investigated as to whether there is something cultural going on here linked to their ethnicity/religion/culture that needs to be addressed..it would be swept under the carpet just like the authoritites tried to do foo fear of being accused of racism etc

 

They are a tiny minority but the driving factors behind their behaviour need to come out so that they can be addressed properly
