Was just thinking the same.IF it is he couldn't get in touch with Adams then is it too much to expect that he could have contacted a team mate?

Agree Melv, but is it too much to expect for someone to make a 'Where the **** are you?' phone call or text?Unfortunately , I feel there's a bit of bad blood between the two of them.Probably need their heads banging together.

Perhaps Micky has banned mobiles melv. But its happened and can be sorted and needs to be.

In which case Burge should have phoned the hotel and ask them to pass a message on to Micky saying he was stuck I traffics or to get Adams to phone him ASAP.

I don't think you are far off with that comment about bad blood and both need their heads banging together. But I do feel that Burge will not not be at the club next season if Adams is.Adams will ship him out.

Still cant get this burge can tweet but cant tell a team mate he is stuck in traffic or phone the hotel?

In his follow-up tweets, Burge said he did try to call and text. His tweet says he made "numerous unanswered calls and texts"

Most likely, he didn't show up as planned at the rendezvous, thereby ****ing off Micky and Grewy.

He then tries to call them, but Adams sees it's Burge's number and ignores it.

He does this because to take the call and tell him to still make his way to the ground would signal to Burge that ****ing people about on matchday is acceptable.

He also decides to do unto those as they did to him, and then see how Burge likes it....so he lets him get close to Bristol, then drops him the text.

Slightly-wiser old head Micky has more important things to worry about, so gets on with team selection.

Younger, social-media slave Ryan decides it's a good idea to stir things up by sending a message for all to see - and this can't be defending as "setting the record straight", as this twxtter boliox from Burge was the first mention to anyone of what had gone on.

It's a blatant affront to the authority of the management team, and very, very unhelpful in our current situation.

Burge = Goodish player, immature person.

No matter who is to blame you should not wash your dirty washing in public. Burge should never have tweeted; he should have left in plenty of time especially as it seems like he had special dispensation to travel from home and not on the team bus.

No one player is bigger than the club, as people have said there were ways of contacting MA if he really tried, this situation is not helping our cause at this moment in time.

Were all the calls and texts to the same person? Did he try any other numbers?

I think only Ryan Burge can answer that one Jean. I didn't get any missed calls from him, did you? ;)

I'm not trying to defend him, I'm just relaying what he said via Twitter in answer to a question about why he didn't try contacting the club.

I still agree he shouldn't be tweeting about this, but I still see it as one person's word against another in that Burge claims he acted responsibly (he tried contacting the club) and the manager says otherwise.

This may have well put an end to a player making his own way to the ground for an away match now.Even if the away ground is a lot closer to where they live than Vale park.
