Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Happy with this result. We are going up! 12 points above 4th, 4 points above Gillingham and they have a tricky game away at Bradford at the weekend. This is our year!

First time i have seen Vale play since Boxing Day. The new defensive signings have made a tremendous difference, there is a calmness about the play that is noticeable. The fat lady is warming up i think.

Thought Burge was head and shoulder above any other individual performance by anyone this season. Worked hard, quality on the ball, quality off the ball and sooo strong for quite a small lad.

 

Very worthy mentions though to Jones and Neal though. Thought Vincent was quite average at times but so glad he got his goals and it might give him a confidence boost. Another mention for Chilvers too who was very solid although Wimbledon's negative tactics did make life a little easier for the defence.

Great result - 4 points clear of Gillingham in second and 10 points clear of Cheltenham in third, thanks to good old Brizzle.

 

As for the trailing pack, we're 12 points clear of Burton who've played one more; 13 clear of Southend who have just one game in hand; 13 clear of Rotherham who have two games in hand but who've only played 12 away out of 28; and 13 clear of Exeter on the same number of games.

 

Plenty to go but it's looking really healthy!
