B&G / SEO was a huge moment in Vale's history when the fans took their club back and saved it.

 

Why on earth would anyone want to forget that? Everything that has happened this week/season is as a result of fans sticking together.

 

I'd like to see a third strip of black and gold produced in rememberance. Not saying we should play in it, but I'd like to see it officially marked.

I'll never forget offering a woman one of the red cards before that protest game and she flatly refused and stormed off in a huff saying "who else are are we going to get in to run the club" oh well.....:rolleyes:

After the 'Crawley March' I had to wash my black & gold scarf after it caught a gobful from one the kind gentlemen standing on Hamil Road,those were the days.:rolleyes:

When I started this thread it wasn't by any means a sugestion we forget what we have been through. I, like thousands more, will be eternally greatful for what B&G, NLV,Starve em Out, The Supporters Club, Pete Williams, Martin and numerous others have done to save our club.Like many on OVF I stood out in the cold to protest against the old board and heard comments fron passing fans saying we were stupid and protest was pointless. I'm sorry if the sugestion offended anyone but I do think the avitar could be changed to one that signals victory and a new era.

Or the fool that wanted to pick a fight with protestors just outside VP on the second march.

We are moving into calmer waters but was has happenned should never be forgotten.

I hope nothing like it ever happens again but if in the future long standing and respected supporters raise concerns they should not be ignored and treated like troublemakers.

I go along with you Dave, but the last thing we should do is forget what happened.

 

It's brave souls like those you have mentioned who we have to thank for ridding us of the old mess but if bad things happen - and I wouldn't want anyone to think for a moment that I expect it from Paul & Norm - we just might need that spirit again.
