Summer transfer rumours/speculation and retained list

Sherif is chronic.

Brown is garbage.

Waine is inconsistent.

Stockley is always injured.

Paton isn't good enough.

We need a whole revamp of the striking department. I'd keep Stockley and Waine as squad players, and try my utmost to get a big number 9 with good movement and a smaller quick striker who can run the channels.

I would hope Brady would not go back to Northampton to get some of their players as they're even worse than us.

If we could get him I'd want Ryan Grayson at Salford - 11 league goals and 8 assists is not to be sniffed at .

I would have liked him too but didn’t he only join them in January?

And this guy is chair of the supporters club. He’s had a dingbat of a moment here

The PVTV interview with Brady specifically mentioned Darnbrough. I hope for our sake that was a slip of the tongue and he takes himself back to Poland in the summer with the rest of the recruitment team. Anyone who had anything to do with recruitment this year should be out the door and fresh ideas brought in.

Sproey or Yates involved is a sure fire way of keeping us firmly in the mire of L2.

Sproey's career deserves respect but as far as acumen for taking the club forward, he is clearly not what the club needs.

All tragically very funny when people seriously pass off suggestions that you see in a parody sketch.

"Knows the club". Goodness me.

I heard a rumour that we are in for Luke Rush from borewood wood , not so,silly as I thought he has family in Crewe who he’s close to

That rumour is probably 'I've heard that name mentioned', and it turns out it first appeared from one of our posters here on OVF.

There are literal garbage rumour pages on Facebook that are reading this thread and then using it to 'create content' to post on Facebook for engagement. Danny Ormerod was one of them mentioned just the other day.

There is nothing really in it unless you see someone like Mike Baggaley or Pete O'Rourke doing the reporting. Anybody else is just speculating / guessing and farming for your opinion.

And didn't Salford pay about £400,000 for him?

Sure it was half a million.

I would assume recruitment plans are already in place of which Brady has had his input.

We will be in for has beens. Brady stays that’s who he goes for. A couple of loans, probably try to get Campbell and Archer permanently and then a few has beens that will be described as experienced pros who know who to win promotion from this league.
Im really concerned about next season, I just don’t see (without huge investment to pay this lot off) how we take a decent step forward

What utter nonsense you come out with

Brady has stated and has been quoted on saying he wants players on the way up and not on the way down

So why would we be signing has beens ?

Also you say if Brady stays

Of course he stays they have just had a season ticket drive with him promoting it

Do you just come out with utter drivel just for a reaction ???

The whole “I want players on the way up” is a daft statement really. Squads are always a mix of inexperienced young players, players at their peak and older experienced players over 30, who by virtue of their age aren’t on their way up.

Be interesting to see our Number 1 is next season.

Where's Jak Alnwick nowadays?
