I had joked before that when him and Curtis left that perhaps Brady just doesn't like Irish people. Do wonder if there might be something in it.

Tbh I think Curtis had already made his mind up about leaving before Brady was even appointed.

k_s, Jake Taylor didn't fulfill his potential because of injury not because of a lack of ability, his ability was clear to see in his first loan spell and Vale and in the final games , play-off games and Wembley final.

Derek Adams took a risk signing Taylor due to his ability/quality which the Shrimps fans could also see.

Ultimately there was nothing to miss but as a football and Vale fan I wish his career would have worked out much better for him.

His two moments of high skill and quality in the Wembley final, the ball out to Worrall to set up the 2nd goal and the Cryuff turn and pass out to Benning, confirmed his ability. IMHO if Darrell Clarke had have played Jake Taylor more during the regular season Vale would have achieved automatic promotion but I suspect the injury issues had already started to surface.

Were you his agent? 😁 I didn't see enough from him when he did play and I didn't miss him when he wasn't there. If he was that good at Morecambe in their relegation season and at his age I would have thought  a bigger club would have gambled on him,

I’m sure there must be an angle where this can be pinned on DC somehow 😉

Yeah that was patently obvious to me as well, which is why I was joking about the coincidence. 🙂

Players who can cross the ball and players who can attack crosses with their head are top of the list for me.

The quality of our final ball into the box this season has been lacking, coupled with poor finishing.

Hope tonight puts to bed any talk of signing sheriff permanent and him being a prospect. Opinions are opinions but anyone that thinks he's a professional footballer of any standard should seek medical advice

Thank <ovf censored> for sense like this.

The bloke is utter garbage.
I am fed up of having “athletes” as footballers.

Strip them of their tracking vests and just watch with your own eyes.
That’s the biggest problem with lower league football these days.
Stuff stats. Just watch with your own eyes!!!

We have so many garbage footballers on the books.

Creativity and ambition required, after ruthlessly delisting and releasing all players who can’t get us to where we want to be.

Here's my retained list.

Boomer.

The rest can do one.

I did find it mental when I saw others saying offer him a contract.

Never want to see Brown/Faal/Sheriff in a vale shirt again

Its like the days of Hooper and Forrester all over again

Imagine if that's what happens and then it's revealed that Marosi has been Boomer all along.

[we were hiring for new Boomers at one point this season]

I wouldn't trust Marosi to make the teas in the turnstiles

One thing's sure we need to build with an eye on the future and what comes next. Not just spend millions on a squad to get promoted to then <ovf censored> ourselves.

Spending £££ just to get out of a division is not sustainable as we have proved.

Have to find a suitable model to grow steadily. I would rather that anyday then just throwing money at something. That only ends one way in the lower leagues.

Let's try to build a team with players who grow with us. It's not easy obviously but that needs to be our aim.

Sherif is chronic.

Brown is garbage.

Waine is inconsistent.

Stockley is always injured.

Paton isn't good enough.

We need a whole revamp of the striking department. I'd keep Stockley and Waine as squad players, and try my utmost to get a big number 9 with good movement and a smaller quick striker who can run the channels.

I would hope Brady would not go back to Northampton to get some of their players as they're even worse than us.

If we could get him I'd want Ryan Grayson at Salford - 11 league goals and 8 assists is not to be sniffed at .
