I was a lecturer for a good few years, I also spend my working days helping the people I work with as much as I can because I love helping people - but by doing that am I being selfish because I am making myself happy?

What am I going on about - this is your fault NW9 😂😂😂😂😂

I wouldn't say selfish, but we all do things for our own ego or what makes us happy, IMO. Nothing wrong with that, or what Carol is doing with her charity work.

I don’t think there’s a single other owner in the 92, or the 5/6th tier, who wouldn’t sack him tonight.

Carol has a lot of strengths but this is a joke.

The clubs owners are backing The Moorebore.   Back to league 2 it is then.

I'm just disappointed my  lovely 150 year anniversary shirt will now be associated with the dross I have watch this season.  I didn't want it to go in the same "never to be worm again" drawer as the yellow and black hoops from 2 years ago.

They are backing him.

RS reported at 17:40 ‘they understand Darren Moore’s job is not in immediate danger’

The dreaded vote of confidence?

Carol hasn't learnt from her previous mistakes. She needs to stop thinking of our managers as her mates. Any other club in the land and Moore is walking.

That's a bit miserable.

Not really, I just don't believe it's possible to be truly altruistic. (I studied philosophy at uni, and I always considered it to be a bit of a paradox). It's not really a point of view out of misery.

She handed all the keys to the footballing side of the club to Moore.

Where was the oversight?

Who signed off on Waine, Marosi, Faal, Shipley? Where were the checks and balances?

I said this when she appointed Moore and put no countervailing balance on the Board. In the absence of proper footballing governance, putting all your eggs in one basket is sheer folly and is bound to result in failure. Carol, loyal and trusting as she is, needed some hard-headed ex-pro’s on the Board in the absence of a Director of Football, to tell her when the game is up.

She didn’t and now the day has come - with yet more delay and dither in a situation that is going to get us relegated.

It doesn’t seem to change, does it?

Happy to be proved wrong. But this will make the fans feel more frustrated and ignored, we’ll continue to play poorly, get further adrift and then the sacking will happen - having caused more damage to the reputation of Carol’s decision-making and lost more valuable points that could have been obtained in transition.

A lot of sitters missed in Newcastle - Man City game. Good job they don't play for us.

Its Auntie Carols money - she can do what she likes - as can we - stay or vote with our feet.

But she is the best thing to ever have happened to this club, and for that alone she will always get my support - even if we are in the midlands premier league - better that than no club at all

At least Paton will score goals in Mids Prem.

I’d still be concerned with Debrah at the back though😂

Of course it is. It's easy to do something without expecting anything back.

Radio Stoke just said as they understand it there is no immediate threat to Moore's job as the club tries to turn things around

No threat too His Job , What an absolute bloody P#ss Take

She's spent an unbelievable amount of her own family money on us.

It is accordingly very difficult to criticise.

But bloody hell Carol, why do we keep making the same mistakes repeatedly when it comes to decisive decisions?

Carol’s approach to managers is like our team in the penalty box, lacks the killer instinct when it matters.

I don't think many people are actually asking for her to step down.  Just do the only sensible thing left and relieve Mr moore of his duties before it's to late.

If that’s true, then the club is deluded beyond belief.

If he stays, things will quickly turn toxic - everyone’s had enough and can see how hopeless Moore is. Carol has done wonders for us but her grasp of football management and her judgement are seriously at risk. All she’ll do is put us in a worse position, alienate the fan base and lose her hard-earned credibility. Not to mention getting us relegated.

After the last four months, how on earth does she think he can turn it around?

Someone in the club needs to get a grip and make the hard decisions to get us out of this mess.

Exactly, we were/ are grateful to Carol for buying the club but like you say, she’s losing her credibility, she will lose fans very quickly.

It’s a results business first and foremost and the manager she employed is not getting them.

We can’t even score a goal never mind win a game.

People will only put up with so much, and it’s fair to say they have had enough of this manager and all his talk etc.
