Well for start Newport was from about 7/8 years so I won't go that far back and look, however Burton did not weaken their team/squad like we have done, they signed Bodvarsson who was proven in league 1.  A couple of signings on loan and you never know what could have happened.

I want signings with some thought and fan fare, not ferrying down the left back from Everton for a photo because he's in commuting distance, and doing Sherif over the phone and announcing him with a photoshopped picture. 

I did say with us being bottom this is what we'll get because we're crap, so I'm not surprised. But what they should have done with Curtis and Cole going and shipping players out is asking Brady who did he want to sign, and make that happen. 

Instead we've got this thoroughly depressing end to a window where our hopes rest on two loan strikers and Stockley.

Got say i expected atleast a cm to come through the door today, striker wasnt so sure i think that wont be until summer as youd have to massively overpay for anyone decent

If big Dave is right and Rhys does go, we need one so that Shipley doesn’t make the bench

Nah, when the squad lists are sent to the EFL tomorrow morning just unregister Shipley and tell him to get gone. I'd sooner call up Cousins and Brazier than see Shipley in a Vale shirt again.

Pulled these from FotMob the other week but may as well share them again. Mitch’s professional career appearances, with goals and assists. May as well forget the Villa one, can’t really count that as a breakthrough season.

For me given it’s now a squad game I think players hitting 30 appearances minimum is acceptable,  taking into account injuries, rotation and suspension. Fans often label players injury prone, and the majority of these players keep getting picked up by other clubs and they get deals. Why is that? I think it’s because clubs don’t look at it like fans do. They know what a player can bring to their squad and will hope they can either keep them fitter than other clubs have or they will them rotate with other players. Mitch will get another club no problem I think. 

So we have lost Cole, Curtis and possibly Walters. Then brought in a Centre half who is a bit of an unknown and 2 youngsters on loan. There was me thinking the transfer window was an opportunity to improve things.

I've got a lot more trust in JB than I had in DM but he can't win - too many players .. not enough players .. Cole is crap .. why we sold Cole .. Curtis Billy Bigtime .. Why we sold Curtis 

Big plus Archer .. Great to see Garrity back and both full backs

Probably realise the fans aren’t particularly keen.

Still a good interview could have changed a few minds and made it feel a bit more positive.

People complaining about Carol going quiet but the media team seem to have gone mute when previously excellent
