Played at full back he’s a good player in my opinion, although a full back still needs to overlap and get crosses in.  John and Gabriel better in that regard maybe, hence the decision.  Who knows.

I think people are basing an opinion on Gabriel based on the Exeter game. Yes, he had a nightmare bit he'd only just come back from injury. He had some terrific games earlier in the season and looked head and shoulders above Mitch ability wise.

When he came in at the weekend he lost two headers at the back post straight away. I don’t care if he ‘looks like a footballer’ as the A&V pod says, he doesn’t play like one.

He had one great game against Barnsley, as did the whole squad. Can’t think of another?

Hope he proves me wrong but him over Mitch is crazy to me

Not sure I agree with the terrific games, maybe played well at Barnsley but in total prior to Exeter he had only started 4 league games and 1 sub appearance in the league.  Give me Mitch over Gabriel any day of the week, for me we have had players leave who did put the effort in, the likes of Curtis, Cole, Mitch and Paton if he goes I could never fault their effort and still stuck with those players who shall we say effort can be found wanting.

Well the club have just promoted Crazy Jalfrezi in the fanzone. Safe to assume a signing announcement imminent.

On a slight tangent, just noticed Joel Ndala has gone to the Owls on loan.  Surely there’ll be a cash windfall at some point for us for this lad, he’ll obviously make a career for himself at a decent level.

Anyone on X able to @ the club and ask if we’re done with any incomings? I want to know if I can stop checking my phone every couple of minutes 😂

I agree but the club didn’t have to down tools like this. Burton survived from a similar position and a tiny budget. We’ve just straight given up. Disgraceful really.

Carol gave up after the Plymouth game, should have been sacked immediately after that match, then again should have been sacked after the Bolton debacle.
