Dipepa sustained long term injury. Shrewsbury were trying to get him on loan

If Baylee hadn't have sustained this long term injury I think Shrewsbury would have been such a strange loan move for him especially when they are currently 3rd bottom in L2.

Slightly off topic but youth player Logan Cousins apparently scored an absolute wonder goal for kidsgrove yesterday. He seems highly rated there by all accounts

I would like to see him get a run out in the trophy game

Didn’t know he had gone back to kidsgrove, along zayn Sadiq

Vale must be happy for him playing under Popey then as I seem to remember some were not happy he was at Kidsgrove after the trouble they had which obviously had nothing to do with him being recalled.

Is liam Brazier still out on loan ? I remember there being lots of talk about him getting scouted by some big clubs not long back including that mental and ridiculous story about Dortmund being interested.

Him and Arron Davies are both 19 now but you would have thought if they were good enough they would have had a chance in the trophy games by now

It's more Pope threatening to beat up supporters or being abusive himself that people object to the club associating with or idolising him.

Couple that with his embarrassing social media rants slagging off the club when it suits him means quite a few would rather we supported a different local team with youth loans instead that are better role models for younger players.

Yes I remember a few showing concern for those reasons you’ve stated. But vale are happy so no concerns from our club. I’m sure Tom and Matt will continue to get the best out of the two lads and he’ll do well for kidsgrove.

He played for Fleetwood 2 years ago this week when they beat us 3  0

In same team as Stockley and Heneghan.

Had a great game too from memory.

Tall, left sided center back, plenty of pace and pushed forward.

I was there Crosbys last game we had just lost Devine and Arblaster and Garrity was injured and Ojo sulking then injured…we were awful. We had the guts ripped out of the team and although people blamed Flitcroft I think Carol would admit she didn’t follow through with funding to replace the midfield and the rest is history.

i do remember this lad. He was outstanding. I m not sure what’s happened since but it’s clear things have not gone well for him since… I guess sensibly we are gearing up for league 2.

I think we should look to loan Paton to lower league 2 or the national league and reassess him in the summer. I think he’d be a reasonable 3rd/4th choice forward next year if we are in league 2, which seems likely.

Give him 6 months out to a level where he’ll get regular game time. Problem last year was we sent him to Dundee united who were challenging for Europe and he was a bit part player for them.

Fully agree, Shipley’s going to be a hard push, but I think his remaining time here will be as uncomfortable as possible. I think ultimately he’ll get a settlement on his remaining contact and be sent to the train station in the first available Uber.

Another name circling the transfer rumour world is Victor Naldrane. Been linked with us a few times so hopefully we can nail this one this time

Regarding Shipley can we make contact again with Loftys agent. That guy works miracles in his sleep.

Brady is clearly shipping players out not in his plans, replacing them with loans who can do a job and then leaving a bigger budget and more squad space for next season. Makes sense.

Depends on who Brady brings in during the summer and how much he has to pay for players. We'll likely see if he can get us promoted at the first time of asking.

I will give Brady time (Not that anyone cares} but I've been underwhelmed by the January transfer dealings so far and that's with Paton and Clark still here.  His comments about Paton yesterday were concerning, who cares whether he's a striker or a number 10, scoring a few goals is what matters.  Would he ship out a Tony Naylor?

I was cheering the Vale onto the win yesterday as much as any fan but we're not gonna win many matches playing like that.

As much as Vale haven't had the run of the ball in the 1st half of the season we had it yesterday. Ballard's scuffed effort from inside 6 yds and the post came to our rescue, as well as the absence of Aaron Connolly, who was a huge influence at Vale Park.
