Here we go this blokes 30 no resale value and we already 4 strikers unproven at league one level.

Like I say, it depends on cost. If he only has 2 more years left in him but those 2 years keep us in league 1, then resale value is not so much of an issue as we'll have recouped the cost. We can't always be signing people with a view to what we might get back in the future.

I would imagine every striker that’s ever played is unproven at league one level until they actually played in league one 

I’m starting to wonder if Darren Moore should just go for a run and play Pokemon Go and see what striker we catch for deadline day and run with that.

Byers, 1 goal in 6 for Sheffield Wednesday. 1 goal in 13 for us.

Walters, over 2 dozen games for the Vale and no goals in fact I can hardly remember him having a shot at goal 

 We aren’t playing a system which allows the midfielders to get in to the opponents box enough, hence why we aren’t getting many goals from our midfielders, add the fact that we have poor strikers at the moment is a big reason why we are not scoring many.

I disagree we don’t play in a way that midfielders get goals. When we play 3 CM’s and the onus is actually on the 2 midfielders playing ahead of the deeper lying player ( Byers when he’s fit) to get in the box and also create. Case in point Croasdale’s goal record last season.

For me that’s one of the issues with the balance of the midfield. We have had Ojo and Croasdsle starting or who are both more defensive midfielders.

Garrity’s goal record under Moore is a red herring. Last season we played 343 so the midfield 2 aren’t going to be breaking in the box as much but when we played 352 in the 2nd half of the season Garrity was out injured a lot.

Countless players are the same. Then revert back to not scoring after 1 good season. Helps being in a good side like Orient last season

I think you just need to play to a strikers strengths. Pope’s numbers looked very similar and crap until we had proper wingers putting it on a plate for him.
