(could be a bullshyyte/non-reliable account for all I know though? 🤔 )

Hasn't there also been mention of Michael Cheek? No League One experience but very experienced in the senior game compared to a raw loaner.

Transfer windows are funny things aren’t they. They artificially manipulate a free market due to time. For a couple of weeks we have been saying we are going to be fleeced as we have a need etc money in the bank. Yet seems like a lot of clubs all of a sudden needing to move people on to do their business. Maybe Flitcroft was right.

I think Michael Cheek would be a good shout. Yes unproven at this level, but proven to know where the goal is. I would much rather have him in the squad than Faal or another loaned in youngster which probably won't be able to cope with the physicality of league 1. However if that loan was Scarlett from Spurs I would be happy

Am i the only one who keeps 'buying in' to Vale press announcements that we have a recruitment team of employees who spend their whole working life monitoring players to ensure we always bring in the right players to fit what the squad needs, so we never need to panic buy?

They either think the average fan is very stupid - so need to be reassured that there are in fact people doing their jobs; or they are just saying something for the sake of it so it feels like engagement with the fans. 
 

Both at the same time also possible though. I’d not be surprised if the DF era and Ryan Loft left them feeling a bit burnt when it comes to player transfers…
