This game was made for Kyle John. Injured. Same old problems at Vale.

Enjoyed that apart from the last 5-mins, as usual per Derby games there was more passion than skill.

Thought Croasdale was gonna bury that chance but another great save from an opposition keeper.

Stating the obvious but Conway looks dangerous for them and Holicek his main provider.

Pretty much par for the course. Packed loud away end, little drummer boy enjoying himself in the Crewe end and the game will be decided after 65 minutes.

No I was thinking about that, I much prefer Walters but just to block the route we need someone in there. Walters has played ok so far.

Don't like to sound negative, but if DM hadn't fooked up his selection on Tuesday, a defeat here wouldn't be catastrophic.  As it is, we desperately need not to lose.

As I suspected we are struggling to defend on our right hand side and we only managed to sustain a high press for about 10 minutes before running out of steam and since then crwho have dominated possession and we look tired.

A couple of times we broke on them but the final ball was poor we need to get higher up the pitch like we were for the first ten minutes and we need to sustain it for the entire half. Where is our stamina?

Clark and Tolaj have been poor. Improvement needed second half or Crewe will win. 

We simply have to change things around.  We're offering little up front, and Crewe have worked out very quickly where our weakness is on the right hand side.  Sang has to stop more crosses if he is a wide defender.  Pretty much every time they come at him down that side, they are getting a cross in. Sooner or later, Crewe's possession will pay off if we keep letting them boss the game. We need a bit more fight - not in the cheap yellow card kind of way like Mitch, but in the break the lines and commit their player kind of way.  Garrity has done it once, but the rest of the midfield seem plagued by slowness on the ball or poor decision making. Turn them round and get them running back towards their own goal from a midfield pass, not just a long hopeful hoof up to Stockley from defence. It just needs the fine margins to change to get us back into this.  I hope we come out second half and get win more 50:50 challenges, because so far we have been poor.

Guess shunters are just starting where they finished off.  Yep in our goal mouth pushing for their goal.
