Done okay so far. Started well by getting at them high up and not giving them any time in the ball, which is what you’ve got to do.

Maybe we ran ourselves into the ground but as soon as we stopped doing that as a team Crewe have been better.

What has impressed me about Crewe is that when they have the e ball in the attacking third, you can see the patterns of play and moves they work on. Little give and gos and things like that. This is what we lack, for all our hard work we don’t have much of an idea up front.

These games have seen us come out better second half, so let’s hope for that.

We usually only play well for one half of the game anyway so not worried yet.

Needs a flat back 4. Sang is so out of position half the time it’s unreal. Every ball out from the back is a diag into that hole behind Sang.

0-0, who’d a thunk it? Same old turgid stuff with no bite or control in midfield and no clear cut chances. Sang pretty good going forward but a liability in defence. Two mistakes and he’s got Ben to thank we’ve not conceded. So many players below par - Garrity, Croasdale and Stockley. Need to buck our ideas up or we’ll be going home tails between legs.

I'd bring Rico on Curtis on and stick a extra midfielder and withdraw a defender ,who who cares  you don't need 5 at the back you need more in midfield ,up to yet it's so bad sangs marking 2 we as docile as

Sang is far too gung ho leaving his defensive job. He's all over the place. Curtis or Harper will come on probably Mich to come off because of his booking.
Good game to watch not if you're a Vale fan. There's even a chance Stockley will come off.

C’mon Dazza - sort it out! 

This is the issue with the wing back position - you’re on your own out wide and you’ve got to attack and defend, so teams playing a quick ball over the top can be dangerous. That’s where your extra centre half comes across to cover, which Debs hasn’t really done in the examples you mentioned.

It’s just the formation. I’d prefer a back four but it is what it is
