Absolutely disgraceful MOORE! That has got to one of the worst managerial performances ever and we have had some shockers.

This is league two football, top V second and what does he do? Play no strikers at home. If that wasn’t bad enough the conditions were shocking and it’s not like anyone wasn’t expecting it but what  does he do? Plays the smallest powder puff attacking line up he could find. Seriously conditions like means you play the likes of Stockley up top and someone with a physical presence not them 3. If we had another similar striker then they should have been on as well.

As for the performances I have nothing  to say as it’s s###! To top it all off they weren’t even any good in fact I would say that they won’t be anywhere near good enough to go up on that performance. Massive opportunity wasted.

MOORE may well get Vale promoted however let’s face it with the side and money he has spent, Vale should bloody be getting promoted. No personality, doesn’t inspire anyone, can you think of a single player who is playing above themselves?

Just imagine a ADAMS or CLARKE with this financial backing.

Totally agree. Tactics were beyond stupid, like someone said, nigh on brainless really. The “Debrah-short goal kick to Ripley-with scuffed pass to Hall-to check and go back to Ripley-repeat- repeat-before-Hall hoofs it long” routine really started to get a bit tedious after the first 15 mins, so imagine the frustration / anger that we were still doing it in the 80th minute at goal down at no meaningful attempts on goal at which point I decided l’d seen enough and make an early exit.

I’ve supported Moore, even last year as we went down (again with a whimper) when others were screaming for him to go, but this has done it for me, as bad a managerial performance as you could find. Consequently the teams performance today was as bad if not worse than anything last year - and I include the 7-0 at Barnsley - and I’m absolutely not using the conditions as an excuse because it’s the same for both sides.

Walsall won at an absolute canter. Let that sink in.

Well there is some absolute c””p spouted on here.

yes a bit an off day particularly second half where the weather got even worse.

Try off month.

Doesn't look like it on the video replay.

I thought Connor Hall was awful myself today

Well his passing was poor but he showed more urgency than some. The whole team needed to show more, but I accept that conditions played a part

And were against both of them
Very true, but I like to think we can be a bit better

Somewhat of a silver lining Donny dropped points after being held 2-2 at home to Cheltenham so outside of losing top spot been minimal gains from others on us.

True 👍🏻 can’t knock his effort ever. Always works his bollox off & plays for the badge.

Gutless. Absalutley disgusting performance. Manager needs have a long hard look at himself.

Yep Garbage , The manager set us up for a draw , he needs to grow a par of bollicks

Strange team selection by Moore who has over thought things for me.  It’s a shame terrible conditions ruined what might have been a good game, as it was I felt Walsall handled them much better than we did.  We’ve had some rub of the green lately but luck ran out today, it looked to us that the ball was going over the bar but ended up dropping in.  0-0 probably would’ve been fair as both teams created nothing of note.  Biggest disappointment for me is how sloppy we are in possession, not just today, so that needs to change and Byers will help on that score, although the midfielders weren’t the main culprits.

Still plenty of football to be played so overall it’s a case of staying in touch until January and churning the squad.  The young loans are inconsistent plus we need another striker.

How many games have we won from losing positions this year out of interest?

No purpose in Debrah the balls played to him safe option every time charge up the field with the ball make angles we passing it round at back then giving it Ripley and he is finding touch or over  kicking it's absolutely garbage .

Play front foot players we have had 1 attempt on target in last 2 home games .

The set up has to change we have enough attacking talent, it's ridiculous we giving any team a leg up by just playing conservatorily

We need be a lot better at-home  no complaints with away set, but home you come out traps like you really want it and go for teams from throat every game from start.

You can start by having a Lewis Cass type defender who charges up pitch a Gibbons even f--king move and quickly

I stopped going due to the dross served up with 3 home games still left last season

However the season won't be defined by a defeat to the closest rivals in December.

Vale didn't remain top for as long as they did by being tripe every week.

Garrity is out and we've won 1 in 5. The reluctance to play Paton is a mystery and I'm sure if we played our attack minded players from the start we would outscore the opposition instead of grinding out single goal victories.

Conditions were dreadful today and the manager has to accept responsibility for tactics...I was surprised Stockley didn't start but if we were to play it to feet, surely BBB was the option to start?

Hopefully 3 points at Bromley will see us still in and around the top

Bromley unbeaten in 7 league games, 3 wins 4 draws, need to do more than just turn up.

Ultimately our poor form has caught up with us today. We've been awful since the Barnsley defeat. We didn't turn up against Gillingham and then were below average in the Morecambe game but won because they were even worse, drew with a Wrexham side who couldn't care less, drew with a Crewe team who were better on the day and drew at Cheltenham after being second best.

I listened to Moore's post match interview on Radio Stoke where he said Stockley had "some medical procedures done" which is why he didn't start, but that doesn't explain Paton not getting a game.

There is a massive coincidence between our drop off in form and Garrity's injury. He is the only real leader we have when it comes to getting your hands dirty and getting stuck in. The others are senior players but not captains.

Harper offers nothing that we didn't already have and now we have a midfield with no pace or ability to drive us forward.

Debrah and Croasdale were the only ones even lightly above average today, the rest were gross and if you look at Ripley's save percentages compared to shots faced you'll see how bad a goalkeeper he is.

Despite all that I think Moore will get us promoted, but I think there's far more turgid games like this ahead than electrifying ones.

I think he'll give Byers an hour on Tuesday then start him at Bromley.

But there's far too many out there at the moment who need a good hard kick up the arse to get them back to what they were at the start of the season.

I think on Tuesday he'll go:

Amos

John Heneghan Hall Shorrock

Byers Harper

Benicio Tolaj Curtis

Paton

Then next Saturday I'd go with this:

Amos

John, Debrah, Hall, Hart

Byers, Croasdale

Richards, Tolaj, Curtis

Paton

We are playing our worst football of season

They we're playing at there maximum

You've no idea. We were nowhere near our best today. We've been putting 3 and 4 past teams, and creating chances for fun. The conditions ruined the game.
