Doesn't look like it on the video replay.

It did look like it at the ground. I thought it was a good save then it dropped into the net

We could have played with 10 strikers but he’d still have us passing it sideways and backwards in our own half until Ripley boots it out of play.

Possibly a bit harsh but I share your concerns.

Garrity is as much missed for vale as Rodri is for Man City!

seriously though….a really jumbled up starting line up. We’ve not come from behind for 18 months so let’s get the best team on the park and influence the first half

the issue for me is the goals or more specifically the shots on goal. It’s so boring watching Ripley pick out target man Stockley only for the ball to be lost as there is no attacking midfielder nearby.

when we’ve ripped open defenders it’s been a Sang, Grant or Shorrock cross that  has changed the game. How many of the last 5 games have we done this or used BBB to run at defenders and win a free kick.

I am super frustrated with the bingo/lottery based selection of starting players. Yes, there are injuries but team selection is so different every game

Well there is some absolute c””p spouted on here.

yes a bit an off day particularly second half where the weather got even worse.

Yes very disappointing all round. Walsall adapted to the conditions better than us. They seemed a bit more motivated and organised than ourselves. A very strange goal to concede.  Definitely need more urgency and to move ball more quickly. Darren said Stockley had had some medical procedures, but I was hoping to start with him plus Paton and Curtis. Hall Croasdale and Curtis , pick of the bunch. Can't think of anyone else who particularly had good game. A draw wdnt have too bad but Walsall played better than ourselves

I thought Connor Hall was awful myself today

Thought he was brilliant again and the only player to emerge with credit.

Who's your choice for manager then 🤔

He wanted Mark Bonner

Today's game was pretty crap, weather didn't help. But to try and put a bit of a positive spin on things, If Crewe and Walsall are the best of the rest of the league, then we haven't got too much to worry about.
We have players returning from injury, we can play better than we have been of late. Just put today down to one those <ovf censored> days we often get as Vale fans emoji846.png

And were <ovf censored> against both of them

Big picture needed. We're bang in it approaching January. The slump was going to happen and we're losing/drawing games by tight margins. Our best players have been out.

Today and the last few weeks were disappointing but we're not even halfway. Long way to go and many twists and turns. It looks like, to me, a 5-way dash for autos (Walsall, Vale, Crewe, MK, Doncaster) and we're in a really good position.

Yet still better than Deborah.

Our best players have been out and we were winning. Now, all bar Clarke and Garrity we have a full squad to pick from yet we play with no strikers and create not a lot in the last 4 games.

Like today, we were crap but if Ripley pushes it up properly and Stockley puts it a yard to the right, we win 1-0 and we're all chuffed as punch. We were really, really bad and losing by the tighest of margins.

Byers is back. Garrity isn't far away. Carol will boost us with a few signings. As long as we're in that top 3 in May, Walsall/Crewe/whoever are welcome to the 4th tier title which will be forgotten about by July when the fixtures come out.

In a 46 game season we're not going to win around 20 of them based on recent history (if we go up). We're in a great overall position, but with some work for Moore to do.

Can’t disagree with that. How he got motm I’ll never know! 😂 Hart I thought had a good first half but was sloppy like most in the second

The only players getting a proper run in the side are the defensive players. I swear Moore picks balls out of a hat to see who plays up top every game.
If I was Paton I’d be asking for a transfer.
Nothing will be as criminal all season as to not start a recognised striker today.

And I could understand it somewhat if we came up against a good side. We didn’t. They were as crap as we were.

Our lineup gave the impetus to them from the off. Then Ripley decided to palm one into the net.

All in all a Len awful day at the office from top to bottom.
And for what it’s worth I thought Sam Hart was MOM. Debrah wasn’t even in my mind. But it is what it is. Hopefully Moore learns from HIS horrific selection today, stops overthinking things and unleashes this side on the rest of the league.

To sit through 90 minutes of that garbage in that weather was a tough one today.

Thought & prayers go out to Michail Antonio 🙏🏻
