Port Vale v Walsall match thread - Dec 7th

Featured Replies

All on Moore this. With his team selection and Ripleys paper hands. Been playing rubbish for weeks.

Poor conditions and matched it with our display. Got to pick what he considers to best side and stick with it. This chop and change is no good for this standard of footballers.

Still would prefer a settled team rather than all this over thinking rubbish making so many changes every game

I've already told you to stop telling me what to do once. Now stop it.

Could be in 3rd by end of the day

For me it’s a front 5 with croasdale behind them and a flat back 4.   4-1-3-2 imo it suits getting the best players on the pitch more often than not and hopefully breeds a bit of familiarity. Clearly the wheels have come off a bit but still a long long way to go.

Still 15 points from safety!

Walsall get the win again - what else? Same again too from Moore who just like Tuesday started the game with the wrong selection, kept us deliberately cautious and on the back foot but - unlike Tuesday - couldn’t rescue us from the damage of his own making. The old enemy triumph again.

What’s most disappointing is that game after game, despite having the better players, we are always behind the play, never seemingly in control, and ceding momentum to the opposition.

Do we have any discernable, controlling pattern of play? Not on this evidence and if it doesn’t change we can expect this meagre points tally to continue. And, after today, there are more than a few players who need to give themselves a good hard look.

Disgraceful performance and we have indeed been crap for multiple games now. Not starting a striker is a complete joke. As is bringing on Hackford.

Id like to see us go back to the formation we were playing against Newport when we first started on the winning run, we looked far better.

As others have said Moore needs to look in the mirror after that. I have no issue with him changing the team if he thinks it will make us better, but to start at home without a recognised striker when we’ve got 4 fit is a disgrace. Stop over complicating things.

Can’t believe I’ve just frozen my little pecker off for that! Game should never have gone ahead 😂 Bloody awful performance! Be out the autos in no time if we continue this poor run of form. The only positive today was my Bovril & the return of Byers. Though Hart & Curtis did ok in spells but we were garbage on the whole! Onto Donny 🍕 Enjoy your weekend Valiants 🌧

Very poor and we have been the same for the last few games. Starting with no strikers at home is criminal. Thank the lord for beer after that.
