Morning all. Can anyone help: I’ve got a mate who’s a Wimbledon fan and travelling up for the game… Can anyone tell me what’s the best pub for away fans to recommend to him?

Bulls Head without a doubt

Should be a cracker this. They'll try to come and play their own game and be positive, which also suits us. Their strike force of Stevens and Bugiel can be a handful, and Tilley is a goal threat from out wide. They've won all of their home games I'm pretty sure, but are 10th in the table, so seem to be considerably worse away from home.

Saturday can't come quick enough.

True. By no means am I saying stick with those pair, just be nice to see them alongside each other. Really feel they’ll compliment each other’s games 👍🏻

Didn't  think you were, we may well see other partnerships emerge as well. It is going to be a long season. Hopefully one we can enjoy.

Thanks both, much appreciated. Any other suggestions also welcome.
Moorland inn, top of moorland road is away fan friendly. They do food and is about 15 mins walk from the Burslem bernabaeu.

Is that Stevens ex Forest Green?

Indeed. He hasn't done much at all the last few seasons but is currently averaging a goal every other game in this one. More than adequate player for this level.

Just goes to show that for certain players, it just clicks for them at certain clubs and under certain managers, and not at or for others.

bursley let away fans in if they behave and cover their tops up

I think it's a DM master class to keep making changes because how on earth can an opposing manager plan properly when they have no idea how many changes we will make,as most teams only make the odd change to a winning side....... we made 5 last night

Have to keep everyone fit to carry on chopping and changing.

I’m buzzing that I can make this after being forced to miss fleetwood. 3-0 vale hackford, chislet, paton

Yes, I had him down as a bit of a one season wonder and whenever I saw him play, he seemed to not offer much in all round play. But he's clearly doing the business there. They seem to think that his strike partner Bugiel is a decent enough striker but doesn't score enough (seems to have been a bit of a lower league/ non league journeyman). Seems the main threats are from deeper with Tilley (who is their best player) and Hippolyte who has always seemed pretty decent.

I went to Wimbledon last season for a game. Unless you showed a home ticket you couldn't get in pubs near the ground.

Luckily for your Wimbledon mate Boslem ain't so archaic.

Amos. Sang. Heneghan. Shorrock. Benicio. Chislett. Tolaj.

3-0 Vale! Paton, Croasdale & Stockley.

I knew you wouldn’t be able to resist Paton in your starting 11😀

Good team but I’d be surprised if we don’t play 3 CB’s. Maybe 352?

Ripley

Sang Deb Hall

Cover Garrity Croz Shorrock

Richards

Paton Stockley

It feels difficult that one leaving out Curtis.

Bulls Head is Home and Away. Very rarely see trouble in there. Good pint and BBQ.
