The 'fans' will have long since found other things to do on a Saturday, having given up due to the board's insistence that they are doing whats best 'for us all'.

 

They will, next season in my opinion, preside over one of the saddest seasons ever in the club's history. We've had plenty thus far and this season is well up there, but I firmly believe next season could be catastrophic.

Start afresh with a new manager and new board. If Micky came back and failed it would demoralise the supporters as much as Gannon's reign.

I think he'll be sacked if United go down. How many managers have stayed in charge of relegated clubs in the past 10 years? Doesn't happen. Besides, he's nearly had 5 months to turn results around and it's not happened.

........at a level much higher than ours and with players comparable to ours. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but you can at least make a purse - the point being that he turned a bunch of at best average players into a side that looked like going up to League 1 this season.

 

That formula was never going to work two divisions higher, where money talks far more effectively. I'd walk from Sheffield to Burslem with Micky on my shoulders - if only he'd stay this time.
