Mark Grew

You lunatic!!

He's the biggest waste of space on the clubs payroll. He's seen the biggest decline in the clubs fortunes over the last 11 years and has single-handedly destroyed some promising keepers careers aside from Mark Goodlad.

Well done Grew!!

On what exact and objective evidence do you make these wildly subjective and poorly-constructed conclusions?

So I take it it's a done deal that Grewy is stepping in to Geoff's shoes as the new Assistant Manager. Fine reward for his years of loyal service and I hope he goes on to succeed Micky one day.

by my understanding Page is currently in that role. If Page goes on to the Wales job though, I can think of no better person to step in and become Micky’s right hand man. One thing for sure is that Grewey certainly deserves it for all the years of hard service. Oh yeah I forgot the guy knows a thing or two about goalkeeping as well

Apparently, Grew was in the running to be Arsene Wengers right hand man, when Pat Rice retired at the end of season. But like the Vale, Arsenal decided to promote from within in the end and Steve Bould got the job. It was a close run thing however.

Don't remember that 1 must have been an obscure track.

RVP is not happy and has fallen out with Wenger over the direction of the club and will not now sign a new contract at Arsenal.....

I doubt he was ever in the running for Arsenal to be fair, probably just paper talk. My point is that he is an excellent asset to have outside the premiership. He is always a shoe in for volunteering to speak with the media in unsteady times, is always likely to smooth a PR disaster over, can stoke the fires with the opposition when required, and is an excellent motivator with top class people skills (this information comes 1st hand from a player).

Believe me, he was in the running. I have French roots, hence my surname, and my contact over there was told this by no other than Gilles Grimandi, ex Arsenal legend.
