You need to calm down. Such anger can only lead to the dark side. I have some tips on meditation, if you so require.

I havent read all of the post so I dont know if its been mentioned yet,but its strange how all the keepers seem to come through under grews coaching and play well, till they have done a season in the 1st team. Then the wheels fall off.At least they have since goodlad retired, who it appears rated grew highly.

Believe me, he was in the running. I have French roots, hence my surname, and my contact over there was told this by no other than Gilles Grimandi, ex Arsenal legend.

I sense you are trying to take the mickey here you cheeky little git!lol. Fair play though, comedy is all about timing and just recently you've been pretty damn funny with your wise cracks.keep it coming cheeky!

I don't know how good Mark Grew is as a coach, but Micky Adams has appointed him assistant manager and I trust his judgement that he is a useful colleague. In the end Port Vale is a league below where it should be on average and that in my opinion is down to signings by Martin Foyle not working out and effectively replacing the players we lost and the old board not being able to come up with a successful business plan. Not Mark Grew's fault. People keep going on about his coaching of keepers and why they have not been a success. I don't think Joe Anyon was anything more than a League 2 keeper in terms of talent and a factor in our relegation. Tomlinson left at the same level he arrived - a solid League 2 keeper. Martin went backwards and that is disappointing because I thought he could be a Championship level keeper or more, but maybe I and others were too optimistic about him after he replaced Anyon - which was a relief to me. Overall, he has been a good servant of the club and it is not realistic to associate the decline over the last 12 years with him. To compete at Championship level we need a regular 15,000 crowd and we have not got it. Those extra people need to be attracted going forward.

Another classic example of Grewey using his communication skills to connect with the fans. It seems as though he is turning into a bit of a master of mind games as he realises the importance of getting the fans on side (I particularly liked his phrase ‘snowballing’). He is certainly proving his worth and seems to be carrying two jobs, Media Spokesman and Goalkeeping Coach.

Keep it up Dean!
