It's positive because it sounds like Clive was wrong? He wasn't at the golf open either or even as my reliable source disclosed to me yesterday that Ryder was in fact at the German Grand Prix as the official jack man on Jenson Buttons Mclaren? Neither as he done a runner or fled to the moon in one of Richard Bransons space mobiles? It's all good.

I could be wrong though? ;)

**** sake more waiting

More waiting yes, but a big step forward in that it quashes the ridiculous rumours that KR has fled to Syria or somewhere, and that the deal has gone wrong. We now know that PVFC have done their bit and will just have to wait for the League, I'd imagine the end of the week at the latest but maybe sooner - that is purley a guess though.

Christ almighty! For weeks now some people on here have been criticising the fact that we have not been updated 'regularly' but when we get statements from KR it isn't good enough?

This statement is as positive as can be without the actual FL confirmation. I know we have been through some ****** tough times just lately but I think some people need to get rid of this negativity towards anything and everything Vale and look forward to what will be a bright future for us all

The following is a statement from Port Vale's preferred bidder, Keith Ryder:

"We have now signed all of the contracts, in addition to the membership agreement from the Football League. This document still needs to be signed by the Football League itself.

"These contracts include the additions we were asked to make by all parties. I am hopeful that we can bring this matter to a swift resolution at the earliest possible opportunity.

"I understand this is frustrating, but I would urge everyone to be patient as I believe this will be resolved soon."

God this is getting tedious now - same comments, different week! Lets hope it will all be worth the wait and we aren't all deflated with the 'big' announcement if it ever happens.

When there was a bit of a silence early in July, people moaned. Now they are giving updates every couple of days that doesn't seem to suit.

So just for those who found it a bit boring - a man in the pub whose sister's boyfriends postman told me (allegedly) that -

Vale are looking at moving to a new ground in the Isle of Man, a 37,000 capacity stadium with a rtractable pitch and self-flushing pies. Season ticket prices will have to double to pay for it, but admission on the day will be reduced to £16 for anyone who can bring all their grandparents birth certificates as well as their own pension book. Doug Loft is rejoining Dagenham, and Steve Evans will leave Rotherham to replace Micky Adams. Peter Jackson and Mike Lloyd will become directors again and Charles Machin will sell programmes outside the ticket office. No cars will be allowed within a mile of the new stadium and Steve Evans new youth policy will mean no players over 21 will be selected for first team games. Vale will also reveive the Anglo-Italian cup and no longer bother with the FA Cup.
