Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Featured Replies

Chislett is going nowhere unless a bid comes in for him that's too good to turned down. He certainly isn't leaving us for Mansfield for crying out loud. We'll be swapping places with them next season.

The good thing now is that having the creative players like BBB,Diamond and Curtis,Chislett if he stays is that we now have forwards who should be able to put those chances away

Genuine options with personnel and formations. I can’t remember the last time that happened especially in attacking areas. For the 1st time we have a squad rather than 11 -14 players.

Edwards is the fifth signing that we've paid something for this summer (Stockley, Tolaj, Paton, Hall). Must be a 21st century record for us?

I can see Man City putting in a complaint about our spending under the Fairplay rules😁

With the amount of signings we've made I was wondering how many sausages have been consumed by our excited supporters. I will take a guess at 8888 of which Karl ( werestayinup ) has consumed half of that total 😂

There’s a lot to stay at port vale for at the minute for Chizzy , club moving forward on the field being backed by great owners

Club wanting promotion and pushing on
If he went to a struggling league 1 club is he going to e joy it ?

Depends what wages he's offered ,mate 😬

But I reckon Chiz will stay , cmon vale

I wonder if there will be any exits after the last few signings.

I don't get the Chislett rumours. I do think it's people seeing he's absent, ignoring Moore saying it's due to injury, putting two and two together and making five. I personally think Chislett would be starting (possibly on the right of a front three) if he was fit right now. At the very least, if he was fit I would think he'd be on the bench.

However, I personally thought it was interesting that Dan Jones didn't even make the (rejigged) squad for the Barrow game. I genuinely don't know if he is on his way but surely he's got a reasonable idea of where he stands in the pecking order right now. If he wants regular football it may be in his interests to get a move or loan somewhere else.

I agree that Chislett would be starting,he could run them ragged for 60 mins then get BBB or Edwards on or both to then run at teams as well

It seems like Man City are open to selling Ndala with Ajax being one of the teams interested

Indeed. Unexpected cheque coming our way?

Honestly, you are over thinking it a little bit too much.

I would have thought that making a video etc is weeks in the planning. He could have made it 3 weeks ago and a bid come in for him last week.

Kai Havertz was part of the Chelsea kit launch last year and then suddenly got sold to Arsenal.

Macauley Longstaff was made captain of Notts County in the summer and within less than a month got sold to Millwall.

We will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Possibly but even it was filmed a couple of weeks ago(you can knock a video up on a mobile phone these days and edit within hours it's not like the 80s/90s waiting for a news crew), again imo it doesn't make good PR sense to put it out if things have changed and he's about to leave, I'm no marketing expert but it's not something I'd be doing.  Just my opinion obviously but I also don't think he's leaving either unless the club receives a silly offer.

The Langstaff one is a little different in that Notts hadn't received a really good offer from Millwall when they offered him the captaincy.  Millwall are a bigger club than Notts County and hence will pay much bigger bucks, that would turn any players head however well thought of they maybe.

Smurthwaite will put a claim on any cheque, through aiding Ndala's development (by giving him out-of-date pies when he was 8!)

Cambridge come in for Loft. There’s still a bit of time of the window left just yet, there were some who didn’t rate Yak either & we’ve received money for both of them pair.
