Just heard the gaffers interview for this weekends game. Sounds like he’s done now in terms of any more incomings which is understandable, if we had been told we’d bring in 12 permanent signings & a very exciting young loanee at the end of last season I’m sure most would have been more than happy. In regards to any outgoings we will have to wait & see but he does mention possible youngsters going out to get some valuable game time. He also speaks about the likes of Smith, Chiz, Stockley & Byers. I’ll be suprised if none of them 4 make the squad on Saturday but it doesn’t sound too far away until they’ll be back amongst it which is a much welcomed boost. We’re strong as it is but with the injured players returning my god we will have some depth 💪🏻 

See the vale fans in us automatically think of a bad scenario to go with a good signing

Diamonds signed so Chizzy must be off

Byers signed what a signing he is so Garrity must be off

It’s just years and years of being a vale fan that does this

I can't see either of those teams being wildly big spenders in modern terms. Feels like more of a fee anywhere between £10-£25m if this happens.

Even with a 5% sell on clause ( rumour ) that would still be a good amount of money for Vale. Then there’s the inevitable future England caps. I can’t see him going to any of those clubs myself or City letting him go for cheap either

This is why it's far better for our youngsters to be sold to the Villa's,Newcastle's and say Palace than a massive team imo as there is every chance they will break into their teams and Palace then seem to sell players for 40-60m
