Crewe definitely would have paid more than us prior to this new season but I believe the shackles are off with regards to wages. About time as well! Probably one season too late but got to be positive about our chances this coming season.

I wasn't going to comment mate but felt the need to,as you say the shackles are off for this season and future seasons but 100% Crewe were not paying more than us in wages last season

Bromley have signed Marcus Dinanga from Gateshead, that's a decent signing for them imo

Apologies if this has been discussed previously,  but the new midfield and defensive signings all seem to be predominantly left sided.  As we repeatedly got destroyed down our right side last year,  what the thoughts on who will play there? Is Clarke fit?  Will Plant play in front of him?  Or will it be another season of Sang demonstrating week in week out that my mum has more of a clue on how to defend?

Nah, better announced prior to kick off tomorrow with Big Daz to carry any new signings onto the pitch held above his head like a trophy.  💪🏿🏆

Both defenders are left footed but Croasdale is right footed, whereas Curtis can play with both feet albeit he does tend to play on the left but can switch & play centrally. The right side definitely needs strengthening or back up needed to cover or compete with Mitch

If i was guessing i would say as it stands Clark with Plant on the right(depending on system) but i would expect the club to bring in another full back and right winger as well

Hope so because Plant is no defender. He is a striker / attacking midfielder who was shoo horned into a wing back role

I think now that DM can bring in his own players then we will see Plant played more in his natural position

What’s this right footed / left footed business all about. They are professional footballers, is it too much to expect them to be two footed. George Best, Jimmy Greaves, Bobby Charlton… were they left or right footed.

One of the best midfielders we have had was Ian Bogie yet he only ever had a right foot(he used to always turn in circles to get it on his right foot) Conlon couldn't use his right foot really

Johnny Jeffers was another totally left footed but i agree imo footballers should have a favoured foot as that's natural but they should be confident in using their other foot as well

So out of curiosity (as I havent got a clue) can anyone name any current big name players who are proficient with either foot 👍👍👍

Well if we have a player on trial or training with us and another club comes in and offers him a deal because they know he's he's here - all because some obsessive nutcase camps out at the training ground I hope you'll direct your anger at him rather than the club.
Let's not dress this bloke up to be something he's not. If he was outside another club doing this we'd laugh at him and say he was weird, but because it's Vale and people who can't live a day without signing a player have something to gossip about it's OK.
I think it's irresponsible and downright weird for a bloke to be shoving a camera in their faces as they're going down to do their actual job.

Has he got some nudies of you or summat?

As we've seen via the Tom Sang thread running through these posts, some Vale fans - the yappier ones - love to have a scapegoat, and carry a grudge which feels like it's personal...but, to blame a dedicated Vale fan for possibly losing out on potential signings, when there is absolutely no evidence to support this, is carrying scapegoating way too far!

I keep hearing this but when at cardif that’s where he played wing back , in centre mid I can’t see him adding anything he’s positionally poor , can’t tackle , doesn’t see a pass , doesn’t score etc

When he first came in his interview he said one of his strengths was getting down the wing and whipping in a good ball

Now if he was a centre midfielder he wouldn’t be posting that as his main strength

He’s not getting in centre midfield in a million years

If he’s going to play wing back then he needs to improve dramatically

I hope he does improve but I have a feeling he will be moved on quickly if he doesn’t by Xmas if not before

What game did he play in CM when he was positional poor, how many chances did he miss? From memory, I could be wrong,  only game he played in CM was the 1st half against Barnsley where he had a good game until he was switched to RWB accommodating Blaster,  then we had a glimpse of the season to come. RB or RWB yes caught out all the time but if you rewind the tape even on the video Doha posted there was very rarely pressure on the ball which makes it impossible to defend the player and space behind you especially when you also have a novice like Debrah at RCB. Think you’re being extremely harsh on one of the very few players who have 💯 effort every game.

Your judging him on a very poor team with no player arsed to attack his crosses and the midfielders went missing to offer themselves once Blaster and Devine left.

Get him in CM operate in half spaces and he can whip in some great balls from there.  I see it in a similar to me way Guy and then Moxon operated at Carlisle in L2.

No scapegoat just giving an opinion
I also think grant and loft and a few other won’t be up to it , not just sang but I’m willing to see if they improve and whilst they wear the vale shirt will get my full support and I hope they prove me wrong
