Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Walters is a very good

player

How old his he and he did OK when called on last season.

When you think of his age and how much maturity he showed when playing I think he will have a great career .

Dipepa for sure will have you can see he as something.

Shorrock is what 17 and he showed in game v Blackpool and second half v Barnsley that he as what it takes ,Derby away maybe by then clubs other players had resigned to league 2 football and made him look poor ,in a team full of excellent players like all the signings plus Chislett Garrity and Ripley there's every reason all 3 could be getting better by the season .

I like that Buah aswell he has positivity with ball ,lomax too he was superb in cameo v Barnsley and decent v Bpool in home games .

I think away gamesa are too much for all mentioned at present but I'd defo use in home games to give that energy if struggling to break down teams .

What does he offer ?
No goals
Switches off all the time
Can’t make a tackle
He ain’t good enough simple as

He isn’t a right back / wing back though is he.

Clark replaced Worral I think. Sang came as a holding midfield player who also played right wingback. He's played nearly all his league football at right wingback.  When Cardiff let him go their manager said he felt his best position was in midfield and they were releasing him because his only role would be as a reserve right wingback. With hindsight an odd comment. Let's hope he has a significantly better 2024/25 as he does have some qualities.  Players have had mediocre first seasons and pushed on in the past.

Adam Yates is a prime example... Below average first season: second season he was my Player of the Season - He had to play at his absolute limits every week to maintain his place, but invariably he managed it for seasons!

Surely you could if we do a 4 2 3 1 or something like that. They can all fit positions in that formation. Correct me if I'm wrong. If not I'm sure. they could have 1 or 2 on the bench and bring them on to change up the game. Instead of us having bad players on the bench we can use it to have an impact on the game. Gives us depth I guess.

Definitely gives up depth and real competition for places. I just can’t see all of those being vale players come the start of the season. For a 4231 I still think that means someone like Ojo missing out and then one of the new forwards which I can’t see happening. Also ball much better in a back 3. It will be interesting see how Darren sets us up

I have a sneaking suspicion all these signings are happening because Baylee will be gone for a big fee. Just my opinion but even so good for C&K to reinvest in the team. Looking good so far.

Just like the good old days when every club said what they paid for a player

I think that clubs should publish all transfer fees paid, and received, as soon as the window is closed: for the sake of transparency if nothing else !

Or they are just trying to right the wrongs of last season?? I genuinely don't think whether Dipepa goes or stays has anything to do with the signings made so far.  Failure to recruit properly again(particularly in attack) was simply NOT an option.  I suspect we will see a few 'moved on' to balance the books a bit but Baylee is a separate entity at least imo.

Harsh when he was played completely out of position every week

Sang is by far the best deliverer of a cross at the club: it'd be ludicrous to offload him now we've actually got strikers - bonkers. I will agree though RWB is not his best position; he's a midfielder all day long !

I don't think it was any secret Adams didn't rate him or want him. He agreed to honour a contract that was offered before Adams signed grudgingly. He spent the first season and a half trying to replace him. I think the last was Rob Kozluk. Yates always understood why he was dropped. In the case of Kozluk it was because he was regularly getting done by his man on far post crosses. To be fair he always worked on his weaknesses and came back better. He didn't become Phil Sproson but became functional defending crosses and stopped his man getting easy headers. Yates made the most of his talent and was a good honest pro.

Now we’ve got Jayden he could play a pivotal part this season. One of the best headers of the ball in the EFL. Whip it in Sangy lad 👊🏻 Can only see him being used as a squad player anyway

Baylee possibly leaving or not will have no bearing on the transfers so far. Carol is obviously backing the gaffer just like she promised. I’ve had a change of thought regarding Baylee I’ve got a feeling he may end up staying with us. For next season anyway

Remember that American lad Adeteye Gbadehan we had signed up but then the paperwork fell through for whatever reason.. He’s now signed for Cardiff.

Another weird one that mate 😂

He isn’t a right back / wing back though is he.

I keep hearing this but when at cardif that’s where he played wing back , in centre mid I can’t see him adding anything he’s positionally poor , can’t tackle , doesn’t see a pass , doesn’t score etc

When he first came in his interview he said one of his strengths was getting down the wing and whipping in a good ball

Now if he was a centre midfielder he wouldn’t be posting that as his main strength

He’s not getting in centre midfield in a million years

If he’s going to play wing back then he needs to improve dramatically

I hope he does improve but I have a feeling he will be moved on quickly if he doesn’t by Xmas if not before

You could say that about majority of last year's players .

They have everything to gain and lots to prove to each and every supporter .

Turn that anger what was rightly thrown at players into cheers .

Sang didn't play that often he certainly did OK v Leyton Orient away linking with Massey and v Wigan away .

Yes he was part of that 7-0 first game defeat but so we're 10 others who were culpable for that monstrosity of a defeat .
