    Not going to lie that’s a better move than I thought Willo would get. Might be a reflection that Northampton are struggling to get their top targets. Wish him nothing but well though, was a joy to watch at his best.

    Well he certainly can play in league 1. I mean the only way he will work well is if you have a squad of about 6 strikers and he can come off the bench or it matters less when injured. We could never afford to do that.

    Wilson to Northampton. What a bizarre signing. I hope they savour every minute he spends on the pitch as there won’t be many! Extremely shocked he’s been signed by a league 1 club. With his fitness issues I was expecting league 2 at best.

    Wish him and Northampton well for the new season.  Only met him twice but he seems a nice guy and certainly a talented footballer.  If they can keep him fit for 30 games a great signing.

    Personally, I'd be surprised if any further permanent signings come through the door now unless we shift a handful of existing players out: then maybe? I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two loans coming in towards the end of August though. Am sure DM is aware that we'll/he'll probably need to tweak one or two things come January and to do that we'll need money, so perhaps best not spending all of the budget now and keeping some back so as not to have our hands tied if the need arises - there's no endless money pit and am damn sure we've already spent heavily thus far. I'd like to thank the owners for their backing in this close season - awesome !

    I don't understand reservations about Hall. People saying he was only good for 6 months. He was only with us for a year.

    I know I'm using a game in isolation but a goal and an assist in his first ever League one game v Fleetwood. 

    When did we turn to tripe. January 2023. 

    When did Hall leave. January 2023. With us comfortably top half.

    So personally I'm not getting this he was no good in his 2nd season malarkey. 

    He's a great signing for League 2. As for Colchester fans opinions I don't give a hoot.
