As for Darren Moore being experienced at transfer negotiations, that's not something I see on his CV. But I might be wrong, and his general football experience makes up for it anyhow. 

We did have KR44 on here wanting just 300K for Baylee. Goes to show what letting people who don't know what they are doing, do our transfer business. 

For me it makes eminent sense that for a club our size that the first team manager is the Director of football/Be in charge of football affairs 'cause it's he who carries the can and should identify the players he wants in his team, backed up by analysis team etc.  It's not new, it was always like that in years gone by.

But in these days of Football agents etc the club needs a skilled negotiator that DM can reply on to take care of and get transfers over the line, both out and in. Matt Hancock may be able to take on that role, there may be someone in Port Vale's sphere eg Phil Sproson, they don't have to be a genius football man but a genius at getting the best deal for Vale.

Scored 15 goals in 20 games at league 1 level last season. He’s too good for league 2 so if it pans out that would be a massive signing for the Vale!

He would, it’s not one I’ve heard. Personally I’d want a young lad capabale of stepping in but good enough to make sure Connor is playing at 100%. Can’t see us singing him as him as number 2

Dipepa is a rare opportunity for Vale at this moment in time and the club need to make the most out of it and should even consider employing someone who is a proven negotiator of football transfer fees/add ons on a short contract to deal with this situation.

The fee imo will easily be 7 figures,I think some of the reports out there still think he is on a youth contract and they dont realise that he is on a 2yr pro deal
