Only sold 400 anyway so there's going be plenty of room. We have Northampton, Wigan, Peterborough and Bolton away and we probably need get 4 points from them away games. Then we need get 6 points from the 3 home games against Exeter, Wycombe and Cambridge. All the 4 away games are very tough I just can't see who we going beat from them. Will predict 1 1 draw for Northampton away which keeps the points column ticking along.

Get a point at Northants then beat either Wigan or Peterborough... Achievable.

Bolton away Vale are capable of a draw at vey least... Carlisle beat them 3 one at their place... If Carlisle can do it so can Vale.

Exeter Home win Wycombe draw Cambridge win

I think it will be a 3 straight wins in a row

2-0 to the Vale

I think so, certainly if we start well. We have momentum now and if we keep it going we should stay up. The risk comes from a heavy defeat in any of the upcoming games. Say Peterborough where we tend to do badly, beat us heavily, that could kill confidence.

If we just avoid that and play well, that’s enough for now.

Not expecting an easy game at Northampton.  Never are against them, but the Vale team showing fight and putting a shift in as we have seen over the past few games would be great even if we lose it.

The Vale players have put shifts in and been kicked around by the opposition, so some of them must be carrying some niggles at the moment.  Great to come away with a point, even better with 3 points.

Burton, who are woeful, managed a draw at Wigan. They'll be even closer to the beach by the time we play them. I wouldn't write that one off. And Carlisle of all teams put 3 past Peterborough yesterday. I'm usually a realist but for some reason I can feel a 2021 DC-esque end of season daft form turnaround coming on. I'd take a draw on Monday too, just to keep the unbeaten run going and catch up on Burton. Wigan and Barnsley ballsed it up against Burton and Cambridge respectively but the fixtures are reversed Monday, with Wigan now playing Cambridge and Barnsley away at Burton. Hoperfully they can do us a favour this time around.

What we really need to do is start winning by 2-3 goals though, that 10 goals conceded against Barnsley across both games is effectively costing us a point.

Our goal difference is better than Shrewsbury.  It's only 2 worse than Cambridge but to pull level we need to win and they need to lose. We'd then at least be level on goal difference but we've scored more goal. The difference with Burton is just 3 goals. We have a game in hand and the gap is only one point. A 3 goal difference isn't insurmountable.

So team stays same the dilemma is who starts with Loft I'd go B Dipepa if Wilson out  then bring Uche on bang the winner in by bulldozing through to slot in to the delight of 890 travelling Vale fans .

Hope Garrity is OK.

Nothing lose now Vale go for it and see what happens.

My mate is a Bolton fan and is adamant we will get something from game, says they don’t turn up against poor sides at home

Keep the unbeaten run going. Clean sheets will mean this. Impossible to predict results but we've given ourselves a chance and the team look like they are playing for each other.

Just hope Garrity,Wilson and Chislett aren't injured.
