You don't offend me Yappy - I just don't understand how stupid you are; nor how you believe that being a Happy Clapper means I bury my head in the sand? It just means I'm not a bitter, twisted plank like you who has to lash out at people who don't share the same doom and gloom mentality? Things may not have been great - but there's been no reason to conduct petty vendettas against players who have clearly struggled coming back from injury! Which you seem to excel in, Muttley!

I don't pull any punches and tell it how it is

I'm entitled to my opinion if you don't like it that's your problem., you pleb , UTV 😬👍

You keep giving us "how it is"...and "not pulling any punches", Muttley - you're entitled to!

Bowers is a really good bloke, preps his games, builds a rapport with whoever is on co-comms and we are lucky to have him.

Yes occasionally he does go down some niche cultural references, but nice to see someone being themselves and it has led to some classics i.e like a dangerous nuclear submarine etc

Couldn't agree more Hitcher, his commentary is very good and entertaining and the banter/interaction with the  co-commentators always good to hear.

Only very slight pick I would level is that his default player is Garrity so if there's any doubt, good, bad or ugly, the name Garrity usually pops out.

Do you think old Popey could have done that!

Probably not but Popey was more of a target man who played with his back to goal and was good in the air. However I can recall two Popey goals where he ran from the half way line ....ish of the Park and slotted the ball home and one where he ran across the area and pulled the ball back from a tight angle and scored with his left foot.

We don't know what type of striker DiPepa will become and how far he'll go as he's so young but his potential appears enormous. I reckon part of his goal yesterday was confidence after the 2 goals for England, long may it continue.

We both know, like many others, Dipepa will be gone soon

This run of form has its drawbacks as I discovered today. I had my usual pre match 3 pints of Titanic plum porter. The guys I was drinking with said that we should meet up after the game for a celebratory beer should we win. That celebratory beer became 3 or 4 by which time I had to shoot off to get a bite to eat and a quick bath before going out for my usual Friday night session. As a result I have had a thick head most of the day.

The trials and tribulations of being a Vale fan eh?

You can't beat plum porter. Manna from the gods.

Some might say we will find a brighter day
Some might say we will find a brighter day (yeah)
'Cause I've been standing at the station
In need of education in the rain
You made no preparation
For my reputation once again
The sink is full of fishes
She's got dirty dishes on the brain
It was overflowing gently
But it's all elementary my friend
Some might say they don't believe in heaven
Go and tell it to the man who lives in hell
Some might say you get what you've been given
If you don't get yours I won't get mine as well
Some might say we will find a brighter day
Some might say we will find a brighter day

I was watching a video today of Popey playing for Within Albion the other day.Scored 2 cracking goals one of which was a run with the ball past a couple of defenders and blasting it into the roof of the net. The other was a typical Popey header. The lads still got it.
