I don't think we can read too much into one match, ie today's win. I do hope though that we can read something into the performance. Seems a bit too coincidental that after all the recent games that cried out for a response from the players but did not get one, that straight after flitcroft goes the lads really put in a shift. It would be very very interesting to find out the exact circumstances that led to flitcrofts departure. I don't like to think ill of someone I don't have personal knowledge of, but there are rumours that all was not rosy in the Port Vale Garden. 

Roll on Friday and (hopefully) another 3 points.

Surely a bumper bank holiday crowd for this one. A point isn't much use, all out for the win!!

Still clear favourites for the drop but we will put the cat amongst the pigeons if we can pick up 4 points over Easter.

I see Stoke charging there fans 10 pounds on Easter Monday v Huddersfield and only paying 10 pounds get in Hull (2300 allocation sold out ).

How about make it 10 pounds for Vale and Bristol fans as they travel well generally .

Big game generally interested see there fans reaction to Loft .

Hope he bangs another in 1 2 or 3 over Easter 

I will be there to encourage him to do so .

Well team he got it right yesterday so hope he gets it right over Easter I'd be expecting Vale get 6 points over Easter especially if we can get Uche helping out in attacking areas. 

There was a big change yesterday I'm.hearing I didn't see so cannot judge maybe Flitcroft was the problem or just maybe the players are going step up and do the business , I certainly hope they do at least we still breathing today so to speak and thats great long may the GREAT ESCAPE be in motion

I noticed a few posters who weren't posting ever again this season have reappeared.......

A clean sheet,a battling performance...that's all I ask for.

Negatives? We beat a poor team and only scored once.

Positives? Lofty looked superb. I know he missed a 1 on 1 but he created it himself. His goal was a reward for the effort made for his goal. We kept a clean sheet and ground out a win. It's taken us up 2 places. The team needs to pick points up each game. It's a mountain to climb but at least the team looks bothered. We now have a lifeline at least.

I wasn't due to be going this match due to being rostered for work but my incompetent employer asked me to swap my Saturday off for good Friday and I said yes so I can go the footie (cue facepalm from the boss!). Qué suprise suprise we put a shift in after last week's sacking. We owe Bristol rovers one after tamely losing to them in the promotion push so they got autos instead of us. Time we got Revenge. 2 nil vale.
