The league above and no strikers for a lot of that season too I think (a long-term injured ‘tin Foyle and a relatively useless Keith Houchen?) . Didn’t we end up putting one of our better defenders, Swanny, up front, too so a double whammy? Would the Yak or Jesse Debrah be better up front than what we have available at the moment- it’s a way of getting all our centre halves in the team even if they are play as strikers 😉

Didnt Debrah start out as a striker he said? Might be an option to try... a sign of how desperate we are.

Pretty sure I went to all 17, and if memory serves, the game that broke the losing streak was  a 1-0 home win against Ipswich. Our goal was the softest penalty you've ever seen. I think Ray Walker scored the goal.

To be honest there's been many a season where we have a bad run .

Years ago under Rudgey we had a terrible run where we couldn't score but lost narrowly .

Last season that ending of the season was downright rubbish .

Accrington 3 Vale 0 Vale 0 Wycombe 3 Charlton 4 Vale 2 Vale 1 Plymouth 3 

These r not narrow defeats these are big defeats .

Terrible run terrible performances again 

Fleetwood 3 Vale 0 

Derby 3 Vale 0 Reading 2 -0  0-2 Lincoln it's not just narrow defeats they are bad defeats the Fleetwood away and home second half performance were equally horrendous .

The no goal attempts on target v top 6 just to me shows a inferior complex it's 11 v 11 Nothing more nothing less .

How do you get out of a run like this 

Get Uche back in and attack all game .

We cannot defend anyway may aswell if going down go down having a go .

The last 145 plus injury time minutes  that's not being the case between them Fleetwood and Derby have had numerous attempts at goal something like 36 on target and off target that's absolutely shambolic Vale .

Getting worse Moores going have create a miracle for Vale get out of this .

Yer Stoke fans I've spoke to at work all week before sat were saying the same about there team 

No heart bottlers then Walters opens his gob and the players respond to that with a convincing 2 -0 win and now they have renewed hope (there support).

So this rut can be turned around hopefully

Fail to beat Shrewsbury/Orient = 3 wins in 6 whole months.
Fail to beat Orient = Won't have won a Tuesday night league game for 2 whole years.
