Forgive my ignorance. But what exactly is Dunn's current role in the club. His he some big mate of Flitcroft.

I think it’s more simple than that.

He’s played everywhere across the back 3 and been asked to do things which are not his game resulting in low confidence.

Tell him to have a battle with the striker and man mark him. He’s one of the best around doing that job.

I do find it amusing how a number is posters, including myself, are advocating 433/ 4131/4231when we did nothing but bitch and moan about John Askey only playing that way.

I think people just want to see a change. Regardless of formation just set up differently than we have been. Dont think people are claiming it will fix all our problems but surely its time to try mixing it up

David Dunn was a really good footballer for Blackburn scored many a big goal .

Think he is a premier league winner 

If you cannot appreciate a player of that calibre working with the likes of Garrity and Chislett ,and bringing there games on ten fold then I don't understand how folk do not see having him at the club as a positive, he as played higher up a lot higher than our players, he will know what's needed for Vale to be better especially in midfield where our goals are generally scored .

All this flitcroft and Dunn bashing I don't get it personally. 

A question for the against lot (and there is a lot).

Where were Vale heading until DF come in ?

I'm.sure under Askey we were heading to non league .

So overall why are folk going berserk at him 

Is it because he hasn't brought 2 strikers in what if he brings in  Wickham and Madine, a free agents  at Lwb and Vale get value for money and win games .

Get behind the team and let people do there jobs .

I'm there support Vale tonight not be looking for scapegoats

Not bothered about formations and I can’t decide whether youth or experience is the way to go tonight so just a reasonably balanced side and ask them to play with some intensity and at least battle for 90 odd minutes.

Could do with not playing an in form team tonight. Players must turn up and play well with Boomer in the managers area? Hope it stops raining or his fur will get wet.

I just find it funny. We had one manager wed to a system, then a DOf and his managers wed to 3 CB’s .

We need change it for sure. We are extremely vulnerable out wide and don’t have enough pace at the back to deal with it.To me it’s a no brainier to switch to 4 to try and make us more solid to keep clean sheets. When we are struggling to score 1 goal per game and in open play a clean sheet at least gives you a chance if a point.

I would also recall Lewis Cass, if possible in his contract to play RB. He’s the best one on our books.

The question I asked, was what is his role at the club. His job title etc, what his role actually involves. I asked because I genuinely don't know. Whilst your answer was very informative. It did not actually answer my question.

To be honest I don't know I think he is the coach of midfield players cannot imagine him doing much with defenders or strikers as there not his positions .

Assume with Crosby taking training yesterday we will play a similar way to usual with similar XI as we wont have had any sessions to even try and tweak things.
