Crosby is Out NOW !!!

I don't understand the hate for Flitcroft on here. Yes, he's failed to deliver us players in key positions but is that his fault or that of the owners, who it would appear clearly can't afford to pay what is required. That's why Garlick was sacrificed in favour of Patrick, who must be a relatively low cost alternative. Also see the lack of urgency in putting the Paddock toilets situation to rights.
Even the scoreboard is at least partly funded from elsewhere. Let's face it, Carol and Kevin came to the rescue when it was needed, but at the cost of spending money to get rid of Smurthwaite that needed to be spent elsewhere. Without any additional funding from somewhere we're right back where we started.
Investment has been needed.

It will be interesting to see who the next manager is. In our current position we need somebody who is going to be pragmatic rather than idealistic (although I think we all know who’s to blame there) and who is capable of squeezing every last bead of sweat out of them.

John Eustace had Brum on a good run - would he come?

Joey Barton is just an absolute weapon so a definite no-no……..

My guess??? It is a bit left-field….. but Steve Evans. You heard it here first.

Evans it not stupid as it seems , Evans and Carol get on both said it pre Stevenage l but given the relative league position of the 2 clubs I can’t see it happening.

A new manager is needed quickly. It should be one that is better but not completely different to Crosby. With crucial games coming up with no breaks, some consistency in approach should be kept. For me the ideal solution is Flitcroft steps in until the end of the season if he is amenable to that.

Otherwise we need a manager immediately available. There are some good ones out there. They will want someone who fits in well with the club mojo. But I guess Joey Barton would be interested, and aside from occasional explosions is an intelligent and knowledgeable manager. No idea what his preferred structure of play is, but I bet he requires 'get stuck in'.

Of course we need someone completely different to Croz we need experience! And not some knob head named Joey either

He did. This all indicates to a bust up later that day.

Or a management meeting to decide what to do about Crosby on Monday morning.

Perhaps so, but I'd assumed not because I know there was a meeting held later in the afternoon.

I said it on here after Stevenage knocked us out of the cup, we get Steve Evans in and we are having a pop at the pay offs. No doubt about that

Yes he is, but someone has to take charge tomorrow and he is the only one with any experience, barring Flitcroft who wouldn't touch the manager's job with a barge pole.

Why not? It's his squad and he has all the answers??

I would rather Flitcroft took it until we hire someone as he is at least more experienced than Dunn.

Only hope with Dunn is the caretaker job he did at Blackpool was decent so a repeat of 7 points in 4 games would be most welcome!

Give it a rest with the Joey Barton nonsense. The guy is toxic.

I don't think league positions come into play. I always think managers look at a club in the more medium term and say "How far can I take this club?"  I think they almost ignore the short term because they back themselves to get a response from players in the short term.

You would have to think Stevenage is as far as anyone could take it.

I've come to the same conclusion. Its his mess and he needs to sort it out.
