Crosby is Out NOW !!!

The squad had good players in it but it is unbalanced. No LWB , no traditional full backs fit , bar Gaz and Funso all the midfielders are identical won’t take players on just pass it from side to side and don’t track back  . The centre backs are disorganised and up top I don’t know where to start . Some of it is injuries ,most of it is down to poor recruitment. The none delivery of a striker is pity full. The playing side needs fresh eyes

We have signed 4 strikers this season - Wilson, Thomas, Loft and Ikpeazu. Between them they have scored a total of 5 League goals. Well done the recruitment team.  Crosby will inevitably pay the price for these results and the guy responsible for the squad will sail on regardless.

I agree Jean, but AC has continually bored the pants off the fan base, the life blood of the Club. He is native, lacking in any kind of tactics and clearly does not possess the ability to get the best out of whatever is there. Time for AC to go now so we at least retain enough time for our season  to change. We simply cannot go down, the financial and "good vibes" drain could take many, many years to be retrieved. We all know that Division 2 will be very, very difficult to conquer.

It’s difficult to know where Flitcroft ends and Crosby begins.
I’m not great defender of AC but he could quite justifiably argue he’s been dealt a **** hand.
You can only get away with a squad that has glaring deficiencies if you have an experienced manager who can wring every last drop out of his players and make a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
A squad that’s lacking, paired with someone in his first managerial job, is a recipe for disaster.
What a sorry mess.
And where does Shanahan end and Flitcroft begin?

It’s hard now to make the case in favour of him staying. Under no illusion that he won’t be in the dugout for the Orient game though. Any other club this wouldn’t be tolerated but there is a certain smugness about the hierarchy at Vale that they know best and am sure they’ll try to just pretend to ignore it all and hope it goes away.

Guess the only thing is if they did move off Crosby you just know they will put Dunn or Schofield in “temporary” charge and just drag it out until they become the next manager by stealth.

Is that the same recruitment team that works 3 windows in advance, the same recruitment team that looks at injury records, attitude, fitness, professionalism, and personality ?.................Not doing very well are they ?

If Carol wants to keep Vale fans on board. Andy Crosby has to have managed his FINAL game at Vale. PVFC can still finish in a comfortable mi table position. But losing 3-0 at Fleetwood has to be the final nail in Andy Crosby's tenure as PVFC manager. No point in Crosby coming onto Radio Stoke and blaming his players for a lack of enthusiasm, passion and energy. Yes the players are to blame to a degree and they get well paid. But the buck stops with Andy Crosby and if he is not sacked after the Fleetwood result, relegation is looking a certainty and attendances will also plunge rapidly.

UTV

Does it stop with Crosby? Surely it stops with Flitcroft as well. I expect Crosby to go but Flitcroft to stay. Personally I would get rid of them both. How many transfers windows does Flitcroft need to bring in a striker. He is also massively to blame for the position we are in. Why are we playing a formation with wing backs every game, when we don’t have any players that are effective there.

Admittedly, I never listen to Radio Stoke any more other than on the way home from matches, and aren't subscribed to Baggaley's thing, but has anyone heard or read any comments from Schofield since he was brought to the club?

I wasn't entirely sure that he was still here. (...or even existed, for that matter!)
