Stevenage (A) FAC2 match thread 2nd Dec

Brilliant draw .

All irrelevant till we deal with Stevenage .

But Stevenage and Maidstone standing in the  way of fourth round game well both us and Stevenage would take it .

Pack the park v Stevenage first

Not many tickets but possible TV ? Hopefully Covolan will not have a blinder

Probably get sent off.

4200 capacity, plenty of tickets for what we'll need.  Will be great to see Cov again, I think that he was better than Stone or Stevens even with his erratic behaviour at times.

Just hope that we beat Stevenage.....

Be a great opportunity to make the 4th round if we get past Stevenage for definite. Think they play on a plastic pitch so that should be good with our luck with injuries though…

Unlike the league cup there's SERIOUS Johnny CASH to be earned in the FA cup......

I'm sure aside from from being away from home THIS is the tie that both Stevenage/fat Steve & the Vale would have therefore chosen....

I think certainly when we were down to the last 10-12 ties, all the others seemed much tougher and similar distances

Great draw for me if we beat Stevenage, what the FA Cup is all about these kind of games, love going to places never been before.  Hard to say how many tickets we will be given, probably around 500 - 600 at a guess, Maidstone are a well supported team by non-league standards, still averaging 2000 in National League South.  They also got 3000 yesterday against Barrow so reckon for a 3rd round match if we visit it would be a sell-out.  Just looked on the Barrow site and they were given 30 seats for this match so good luck for those who like to sit getting one for this game.

From the FA site

First round proper winners(40)£41,000

Second round proper winners(20)£67,000

Third round proper winners(32)£105,000

Fourth round proper winners (16) £120,000

Fifth round proper winners(8)£225,000

Quarter-final winners(4)£450,000

Semi-final winners(2)£1,000,000

Semi-final losers(2)£500,000

Final runners-up(1)£1,000,000

Final winners(1)£2,000,000

So potentially £213k for reaching Round 4.....but yeah, a draw yesterday was "the worst possible result".

Link to Maidstone Win v Barrow:

Covalan Would  Stop vale Scoring - He is a good  Goalkeeper ! - I liked him !

And Vale are Goal-Shy !

They have to beat Stevenage  First

Potentially a excellent draw. Could well be selected for TV, big licks!!  Could well earn enough to get a striker!!

Yesterday will be a brilliant result IF we beat Stevenage, IF we don’t get any further injuries from that game which hamper our league performances, IF we then beat Maidstone again without picking up injuries, IF we then draw a big side in the next round, and IF we then manage to win the postponed league games AND turn around our league form so that we are sitting comfortably in the League table.
