Can’t believe some of our fans are using an Evan’s post match interview to slag off the club

Yesterday was a good one because we had fans using “ITK” Steve Evans comments, the conspiracy theory of Crosby easing in injured players because he was ignoring the advice of the medical team and also the fact that we didn’t lose, meaning we’re still in the competition with the possibility of a big 3rd round draw, all as sticks to beat the club with.

Yeah I can't believe we drew when we had the much better option of losing. Worst result possible!

Thought all the officials are now connected to each other with earpieces and microphones and are chatting all the time or is that still just the EPL? If it is now across the leagues and major competitions that might explain why assistants are less flag happy.

So flags are just for the players and fans, the line chats just for emphasis and the likes of Steve Evans.

That linesman went from zero to hero with his support for the penalty decision. Bottle of whisky is on its' way.

Anything the football authorities can do to wind up the weeble Steve Evans is fine by me. 🙂

Or actually having a better option of actually winning a game of football

I didn't go to the game. The Sky stats show it was pretty much a nothing game. We've had 6 shots, 3 on target, 1 goal which was a pen. They've had 8 shots, 1 on target and 1 goal.

Stevenage seem to be a team we can cope with? But the stats are pretty unappetising as a spectacle?

Modern football fans. The soap opera is more important than the performance

And, according to the BBC stats, we had as much possession and as many shots against a team that is riding quite high. I suspect that most on here would have been satisfied with the draw had it been a league match. I'm sure I would have been!

I just played chess against a program on my Samsung pad. Set the program to play at 2200 ELO. Should give me a decent game at that level. We start off and it's obviously playing much weaker than that and I'm giving it a thrashing. So I'm fed up. Not playing that again. Waste of lifespan.

Yet I'll go and watch repeated dross football games at considerable cost. So I have a loyalty to Port Vale and football in general I don't have for much else in life.

Compared to the real dross that Vale served up 1977/78, the last season that I went every game, this is paradise in comparison. At least Vale's approach play is good now; few goals thanks to a toothless strike force. But let's see what happens (1) when the injured come back, (2) in January.

Maidstone away.

Maidstone the second lowest ranked club left in it I think.....

Either way the Vale or Stevenage will be happy with the draw due to the third round winnings available.....
